      what a shame <smacks lips>

<Scans for augs and raises an eyebrow> Impressive. You didn't get THAT done in Chiba.

          Thats what she said!

      I spill my drink!

This game was cool but not as good as Human Revolution.

I wish the Deus Ex series would return though, I really like the world and freedom in gameplay.

Mankind Divided was supposed to be part 2 of a trilogy. That's why it seems to just "end" as abruptly as it does. I remember thinking "Is that it?"

The sequel only just recently got cancelled

        Boo

    • +5

I reckon Human Revolution is still my favourite RPG of the last 15yrs, and it still holds up today

      • +6

Great soundtrack too, I sometimes put it in while working.

        • +2

Absolutely agree - that Icarus Theme is such a banger.

I wonder how many of those 260 million users are like me. Zombie accounts.

    • You should have played Hitman. That was a great reboot.

I'm glad for Epic Games, I loved Human Revolutions and the original but never played Mankind Divided.

    • +1

Same here and only own Chromebooks :p

      • GPUs can't remain at triple-prices forever.

        One day, my brother.

Play Edith Finch & A Short Hike. Maybe the two best 'short & sweet' games, barring Portal.

    • get a portable pc handheld e.g. steam deck or whatever etc..
you will want to play more games after..

Thanks - the only thing the next week post does is remind me to do this weeks. Doesn't matter what the game is.

      • +2

If you subscribe to the morning newsletter you will also get a reminder for this week's deal, at the top of the newsletter, in the highlighted deals section. The deal is also highlighted on the front page throughout the day a few times for an hour or 2.

Mankind Divided is amazing. Shame Embracer Group are trash and cancelled the new Deus Ex game.

    • +4

Yeah I really liked Mankind Divided. Was surprised it wasn’t as well received.

  • +2

Great series, worth it if you like SciFi too!

  • The bridge was a great puzzle game, highly recommend!

  • +7

Original Deus Ex is still in my top 5. Still maintained and made better by modders.

Too bad the developers/publishers couldnt keep the franchise going

    • +2

while not the same, Prey is pretty good too.

I think it's actually on par with Deus Ex in terms of immersive sim. Probaly less cyber and more punk horror.

      • +2

100% - Prey is awesome too

Excellent series, and also an excellent game. Played each one (totally skipped IW somehow - I should fix that) at least three times each.

After my fourth play through of MD, I realised there were two entirely separate bonus levels, and they're as detailed as the main story worlds.

  • The Bridge is no longer showing as a free game for tomorrow…..

Only played the original Deus Ex - was so good at the time i bought a new PC to play it. Pretty sure it was a celeron ii 566 that overclocked to 850+. Was a great combination back then for bang for buck.

    • +1

Some of those old Celeron cpus were amazing overclockers… I had a 300A which I'm fairly sure I overclocked to 450 if memory serves correct. I still have that old PC in the cupboard actually although I managed to destroy one of the pins on the GPU slot (AGP??)

      • Gravy you are correct they did clock up to 450mhz. I had one of those Slot 1 cpu's clocked up to 450mhz.
Yes they where AGP slots, brown in colour. The days of LAN gaming and BBS's

meh its not the best Deux game in the world but its free so meh.

    • I remember paying $100 for the first one at JB Hifi. That's like $180 today with inflation. Man I was dumb as a kid.

      • -1

yeah the game gets kinda boring after a while.

        • Actually it was Harvey Norman, not JB Hifi.

  • +1

This game had the best side mission of any game. Period. It was so well done and i wish games would take this approach more often. IYKYK

    • Too many questions left unanswered and maybe never will now :(

    Page not found

    • Page found for me

      • +1

Page lost again. Please help find page. Page is probably scared and alone somewhere.

  • Already have this Deus Ex on steam… Otherwise great! Thanks OP.

Which of the series is the best, and which should one start with playing (other than the original)???

Many years ago I finished the original, was amazing, probably would stand up well even today.

    • I have Deus Ex: Revision installed and have been meaning to get into it for a long time. Just haven't found the time or motivation. Also bought MD a while ago when it was on sale but guess I'll grab it on Epic too.

  • damn going to have to install epic launcher again, not sure will play game tho finished it once already got bored half way second time

  • +1
