I've been trying to buy one of these for a few days but the checkout seem to be broken:

    • If you try and add the deal in OP to cart and your link to cart, the one that you linked won’t show in the cart that u added from OP

Not sure how that’s possible, considering it’s the same website

    • sorry, that link is invalid but somehow we are not able to delete it from our website.

    • +4

No, you use that link to show it at officeworks and get them to price beat

      • +2

The OWs I’ve been to do not want to price beat Lucky Mobile :(

        • I had Officeworks price beat this store in December last year no issues at all. Must be just the luck of who you get on the day.

        • Hi,
I just got it from OW (Casula - CrossRoads) this morning with price beat. Albeit I went there last week and OW said they need to confirm it through their HO, which they never got back. Perhaps got lucky this morning with the Lucky Mobile site link as above. I can send the invoice if required.

Never works. I’ve tried in store and via the price beat line and they are refusing to beat Lucky Mobile because their SKU doesn’t match with what is listed on OW

        • @Lucky Mobile could you include product code/sku in your page?

          • +1

@oracle365: Lol, so you can use the deal to pricebeat and not buy from them. :D

      • I dont want to try my luck under 40C+..

      • Just did this with no problems at OW with the $178 link yesterday.

Thanks for your understanding. We are providing the best price we can offer to the customers.

It is a good reason to neg per the voting guidelines

The deal is not the cheapest available

This is OzBargain and not a place to use it for free marketing if the rep knows that it isn’t the best price currently available on this platform

      • -3

That same link defines that the purpose of a negative vote is "To let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product."
The difference between the two deals is $8. That is less than half a percent.
If there is a situation where the other link is OOS (like it was a few days ago) , this is the second best deal out there.

So while you may feel high and mighty for saving $8….you are being overly harsh and not in keeping with the spirit of the guidelines.

Okie maybe you are not aware

I’ve been trying not to neg the store in particular since I’ve been mentioning ample of times to the OP that it has been cheaper

If that feedback hasn’t been considered, then it will definitely receive a neg from me. $8 can buy many instant noodles from Aldi to last at least 2 weeks

Go through the deal posting history for Lucky Mobile and you can see why :)

$8 does not sound like half a percent to me… unless my math is fading.

  • what's a good sim to do the porting trick?

    • There is a $2 Telstra one your can buy at Coles

      • But I thought you can't port boost to boost? Does porting from boost to Telstra $2 sim work? Most $2 sim (vodafone, optus and lebara) require you to recharge after activating the sim which void the purpose of sim hoping.

        • +1

Porting from Boost -> Telstra -> Boost works fine.
I did this last Sunday for family.

I was always traditionally skeptical about porting prepaid numbers on a Sunday, but days of past are long gone by the looks of it.

AFAIK Telstra are the only $2 prepaid SIM you can activate without a recharge, so this is certainly the best and quickest way.

End to end, porting out and back in again can be done over 15 to 30 mins in this way. I’ve done it much quicker before, however it sometimes does take time for the phone number to update to Telstra from Boost carrier on the backend, so you can port back in again.

  • Thanks for the confirmation! I tried to port from boost to Telstra couple of day ago and didn't work. Gonna try getting the $2 Telstra sim and try again. Note do not port from Vodafone to Telstra, did a port for parent and OMG took ages. Porting from Lebara (Telstra) to boost have been quick, I suspect its because its parent company on the same network.

  • To me nearly a week to sort out Lebara stuff around, to port back to Boost. Same bs we can't do anything to to help guff, in the end had Boost force porting. I still get Lebara texts saying my account will expire and I need to recharge or lose whatevers left.

  • Just priced matched at Officeworks, they would not match OzTechBiz which had to use code.
