Suggestions for Laptops under $2000

Looking for a laptop mostly used for word processing and office tasks. No gaming required.

Warranty reliability and customer service is important in case of any issues. Windows preferred over Apple. Cheers!

Overbudget for word processing and office tasks lol

Do you have screen size preference? Weight?

    Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 R7-8845HS, 16GB DDR5, 512GB SSD, Radeon 780M, 16" 2.6K IPS 350nits 120Hz, 84Wh Bat $1269 Delivered @ Lenovo

Check the comments too, scotty posted a 14" one for ~$1k and some highly recommended add-on options if you prefer smaller screen

You can also look through the laptop tag and compare specs/price

  • Yes it is overpriced for the simplicity of the requirements! But at least it gives a good range of options. Scotty's recommendation will do nicely. Cheers for the intel!

    Warranty reliability and customer service

Corporate model laptops have 3 year warranties. Some are onsite.

Lenovo Thinkpad has great CS. I just went through CS hell with Dell though (online support wasted hours of time in the most stupid ways imaginable, but once I got past them the local repair guy was great).

  • Macbook air.
I'm not an Apple fan, but these are very well designed, as long as you don't want touch screens.
Yes Windows is a better os, but the battery life is great on an mb. They are light, but grab a case.
