Edit Price Dropped to $181.70

Have been in the market to upgrade my aging OG G900 "Chaos spectrum".

Saw this on sale at Amazon AU, and while it's not the cheapest yet (best one was the Blackfriday deal from ausriver ebay @$172.37 delivered), it's very close.

  • worth to switch my g502x to this? Been playing CS2 a lot lately.

    • Depends how you like the G502x, I went from the 502 to a regular g pro and much much prefer the shape of the g pro, the 502 was just a bit too skinny for my hand, added bonus of the g pro being ambidextrous so you can customise the buttons to your liking much better.

Also if you are used to the g502x the regular g pro wireless can be picked up for much cheaper and its still 9g lighter, so that might be a better option than this for you.

      • Sorry I mean, the g502x plus.

I think I might stick with this for now. But really tempted to try the pro for somehow improved my shooting somehow. lol

    • +1

It'll feel very different. If you like the weight of your g502 you may not like the feel of this one, depending on how used to it your are obviously.

      • Thank you. Might stick with g502x plus.

    • Two entirely different beast. G Pro is clear aim at FPS games while the G502X is more versatile.

I got both the G Pro 2 and G502X Plus and I can tell you that I prefer the G502X Plus better since I'd get more grips on it. However this is me coming from also getting used to the heavier Master MX3S and the MX Vertical so your millage might vary.

Thank you Grey. Will stick to my G502x as I been using this for months now for CS2 and not to mention the RGB fps it adds. lol.

        • +2

Scientific fact: RGB makes you a better gamer and your PC faster.

    • Try it first. The shape doesnt match human hands. It will last but you may enjoy a more ergonomic shape.

Anyone in the market for a Superlight, have a quick look into Vaxee ZYGEN NP-01S. I Just recently purchased one and I think its one of the best mice I've used, the performance & mouse shape are perfect for me

    • Not sure why you got negged. I bought the superlight as I've had a great track record with logitech products, but my interest is definitely piqued.

      • +2

Eh does not bother me, people neg for any old reason these days.
Probably think I'm associated or gain some commissions lol

This just received a "FREE!!!" update to 4kHz polling rate too

    https://www.theverge.com/2024/3/8/24094746/logitech-g-pro-x-…

Not that I think polling rates above 1000hz make much of difference …

"How all of this translates into a perceivable difference is still up for debate, though. YouTuber Optimum, who does some seriously in-depth PC gaming tech videos, looked at higher polling rates a few months back. Optimum found that you’ll need to set a DPI of 1,600 or above to reach a peak saturation point to force the mouse to update enough to take advantage of a 4kHz mode, and even then, there’s no obvious sign of an improved smoothness or response."

4k will eat your battery for no perceived gain

Thanks, bought 1. Been watching this for a few months.

I believe this is cheapest its been. I was gong to jump on the ausriver eBay sale black friday but a few comments said they received superlight 1 or the seller cancelled orders and refunded, then changed the listing, or jacked prices. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    • This is correct the ausriver eBay one was a listing error, none were honored.

  • +3

I bought a Superlight 2 close to a year ago and it ended up having the same scroll wheel issue my Superlight 1 had, just be cautious if you tend to use your scroll wheel a lot that it may end up malfunctioning eventually.

  • +2

On my second replacement already, the scroll wheel is a major issue and the next time will be a refund. Such a disappointing issue because the rest of the mouse is amazing.

If anyone's after the pink/magenta version (which is the best version imo), this ebay listing was just below $190 with discount code a few days ago: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/115989395443

    • It shows $199 for me (after using the FEBSAVE discount code).

      • +1

I think you need ebay plus. Just checked and it's $189 with ebay plus.

best one was the Blackfriday deal from ausriver ebay @$172.37 delivered

that one was cancelled I believe, no one got their unit

  • I recently had a g703 wireless brick itself in 3 years of use. How long do these mice last?
