I bought similiar for less than $150 on fb marketplace.
Plenty of people wanting to just flog them off for cheap post covid

    • Still 3 dollars per kg very lucky to get for 150

      • Plus bench, olympic bar and some other random bits and pieces like dumbell pairs and kettle bells

      • Yeah FB market price for bumper is $4/kg. The weights are the only things which are of any real resell value in this package followed by the bench with the attachments.

    • Yeah facebook marketplace is the way to go for fitness gear, theres still plenty available from the covid era.

Seems overpriced and lacks safety rails. I have this squat rack and it is fantastic. Other bits and pieces can be bought online. I even made my own lat pull down with cable from Sams Fitness.

agreed , lacks safety rails is a big concern for home gym

    • Don't put clips on the weights and slide them off by tilting the bar if you get stuck at the bottom.

Personally I’d just buy a squat rack or half rack….

      Personally I'd just buy nothing

There is no mention of the weight rating on that bench. Thats something people really need to know.

    • Yeah was about to say this, needs to be 200kg+ rated to be any good.

      • Not necessarily. I am 56 and I can only really squat about 90kg, so an 180kg ish rating would be ok. But safety rails are crucial for home gym. I train solo, so that is my number one consideration.

This might have an effect on resale value, but that is a different matter.

        • 56 years old and can still squat 90kg is pretty decent mate

i know 30 year olds flat out doing 50kg squat with a decent form.

Age is just a number, I still squat 200kg at 59. People regularly mistake me for a 35 year old though!
