15% off Select Eurail Global Passes & Single Country Passes @ Klook

50

Selected Eurail passes are on sale, 15% off. Not that great compared with past deals but if you need it now then it's still good, especially combined with SB 5.5% cashback.
Link is to the Global Pass but single country passes are also on sale (just search), e.g. France, Italy, Germany, Benelux, etc.

Note that the Eurail website says it expires on 13 March at 7pm AEDT, so to be safe I set this to end at 7pm.

  • Dont forget Shopback 4.5% FTW!

  • yes, last day today. This has been on for a while. You can buy direct from Eurail as well. I already bought mine last week

  • Is it much cheaper? My heads not working due to having a flu so apologise if this is a silly question. I seem to be about to get cheap tickets within Italy using Trenitalia. Maybe I’m missing something.

    • If you're taking trains everyday, you'll save heaps.

    • You need to work out whether it's worth it. Generally the passes are good deals if you're taking at least two long distance trips. Also trains in Italy are relatively cheap compared to e.g. France or Germany, so it may be cheaper to just buy individual tickets.

    • Not recommended if you are using mostly in Italy as you will have to pay seat reservation fee on 90% of the trains which is 15 euro per passenger most of the time. Good for moving long distances between cities like Berlin to Paris etc

  • Any recommendations for two trips from London to the Scottish border (but not into Scotland) and back, almost a month apart? I looked at BritRail but their minimum is a 3 day pass, like people go on some kind of bermuda triangle long distance journey and return.

At this stage we might just be booking the journeys individually, which seems the least cost effective in theory but perhaps not in reality.

    • Would you consider going by coach? National express usually charge about £15 from London to Glasgow (can obviously go to other cities too, just an example). I used it many years ago so not sure about reliability or service now but it was good when I used it.

      • No, we need the 3 hour service. It would be fun to bus it up but we've done the English countryside before and just want to get to the borders before driving through Scotland.

        • +1

Fair enough, makes sense. When I was travelling at the time, I had more time than money.
