  • Great price but is it any good?

    • Yes it’s solid, very reliable and comes out nicely.
I use it all the time. In my opinion better adherence than eSun

      • Have you tried the PETG? I've heard mixed things about Sunlu PETG.

        • A week or so ago I got 2kg black and 2kg white PETG and so far no issues on the 8 prints I've done with it. I did whack it in my filament dryer for 6hrs before use as well.

        • No issues, I've been using it today even.

          • @Commodore64: Awesome. Bought 3 rolls of black for $41. Can't really go wrong for that price so long as it's printable!

    • Yea iv bought 2x lots of 10 at the end of last year and it's been great.
Works great in Bambu AMS and using Bambu filament profiles. Seems almost identical.

    • Yep bought a bulk deal a couple of times. prints well no fuss. High value low cost

      • I already have two rolls open, when I finish those I'll consider this.

I mostly print my own designs so I don't really use much.

How about 10kg for $129? Any above $150 is not considered a deal to me. Tho, maybe different quality of PLA?

  • +1

Siddament for this price. $179.9 for 10kg. Free shipping for 20 rolls or more.
Otherwise, Jayo/Sunlu should be able to be had for around the $11-13 mark/kg if you are lucky.

~159 for 10kg from kingroon while we're talking about 10kg of pla.

    • Unsure if I had a bad time with kingroon but it only caused me problems. Generic ebay spools and sunlu have vastly outperformed it in my personal experience

      • Interesting as people suggest they come from the same factory.

      • Any problem I've had with Kingroon has been solved by chucking it into the dehydrator when opening its packaging.

    • +3

Very happy with both kingroon and sunlu. Only positive experiences.

    • what's the shipping times like with kingroon? I've got several Sunlu eBay orders within the week.

Depending on exactly what you're buying, you can get better value from this buy three pay for two listing. 3x PLA+ Black comes to $50.37 after 17% discount, so $16.79 per kg. One of the stores selling Sunlu also have set 3 pack listings that are good value too.

    • Nice find, will mention it the post above

      • The buy 6 pay for 4 offer is slightly better value.

  • How do you buy 6 and pay for 4? Do you add 6 to your order?

    • +1

I think it's just their way of highlighting that there's a 15% off code available…
So yeah, add 6 then apply the code.

      • Buy 6 pay for 4 is standard, and then it's 15% off on-top. So add 6 to cart, you'll immediately get a discount, then you can add the code on top.

        • Thanks, you're right. It is a stacked deal.

        • Oh, right. My mistake.
But it's not just a discount for 6. It's just a standard multibuy discount. Like it doesn't just kick in at 6, it's just that at that point the discount is more-or-less equal to 2 rolls.
i.e. you can buy just 2 and save $8 compared to buying individually as well.

  • Whats greater? A sh!t tonne or a f#ck load?

    Anyway thanks bought 12

  • Bought 30 cheers

  • Anyone know which PLA variant is best? Price is similar across all of them. PLA, PLA+, PLA meta, PLA matte? Recently got a Bambu printer and would prefer to just stick to one filament. Or are they close enough to each other that they don't need individual calibration?

    • PLA+ is PLA with some extra additives to make it a bit stronger. Matte is matte finish PLA, never used Sunlu matte but the overture that I use comes out with a very even surface finish. No PLA is as heat resistant as ABS and PETG so bear this in mind also.

You may need slightly higher nozzle temp with +, I use 215C, otherwise same slicer settings should be ok

  • is it worth going the PLA Plus over the regular PLA?

  • I paid $138 in Nov

  • Jayo and Sunlu eBay stores are also part of the 20% CBT sales so it was cheaper earlier.
