    Great deal, am using this exact monitor/TV as I type this - it may be the single best tech purchase I have ever made, the one I am most satisfied with.

    Some things to keep in mind, it is glossy, so if you have bright lights or an uncovered window, you may see reflections of yourself in the monitor.

    The upside is blacks are just, it's pure black oil, beautiful, colours are 2nd to none.

    Also, also, this is a WOLED, vs some of the QD-OLEDs, both have outstanding picture quality, but the sub-pixel structure of WOLEDs shows less fringing on text the larger the font is, compared to QD-OLEDs (I have a QD-OLED TV and this WOLED TV as a monitor). So for computer usage, I'd go with this.

    Lastly, I'm not using it with a custom stand, it's just on its legs and pushed to near the back of my desk, works perfectly for me.

        Good question, I do the following precautions, but they're probably over the top.

        -Hide taskbar and make it transparent (eg. TranslucentTB)
        -Set colour schemes to black for the OS and* browsers (eg. Dark Reader extension)
        -Other TV settings to avoid flickering for a moment at full screen (it triggers game mode by default when going full screen in some applications, changing the picture mode if you don't adjust that).

        Otherwise, you need to turn the TV on/off with the remote as it won't be picked up by your PC, there are work arounds for it, adapters powered by USB, but they're expensive and probably a bit complicated.

        Try not to use in HDR mode in windows for long, and use LGTV app to turn off the screen after inactivity

        I had a slight temp burning from my wallpaper when using HDR mode.

        Have abou 1000 hrs in.

        For office use, i keep OLED brightness low

        There is a 3rd party service which will send a WOL/Remote packet to the LG TV when it is ready to shutdown or sleep.

        You still need to have the remote handy, but its mostly to handle idle/sleep and standby, and wake/resume.

        It switches the TV on when it wakes up, within 10-15 seconds. It’s not fully reliable like a regular monitor, but you just need the remote handy to check, or bring up the menu to switch inputs occasionally. The app does work, but it becomes a bit weak if you’re using WiFi instead of wired Ethernet.

        Usually the LG switches to Art mode when the PC goes into standby, which can be annoying.

        It is hit and miss on waking up, but you usually hear the snap of the PSU as it’s switching back on, along with the audio/HDMI “plugging in” sound kicking back in.

        Essentially it takes a few seconds to turn on/off the TV via the network “remote control access” when you walk away from the computer for 10 minutes, and turns off the TV. You can still set a 1-2 minute screensaver to pop on when idle. But when the computer goes to sleep or shuts down, it doesn’t match up with the TV.

        Does it work 100% ? not always. But it’s effective in most cases because OLED needs a few minutes to shut off properly to avoid retention or burn in.

        Agreed with the other poster, it works amazingly well.

        On rare occasions it won't sleep the screen when putting PC into sleep mode so you end up with art mode or clock mode on the tv, I just wake pc back up open the app, change a setting, hit ok, change it back then press apply and it fixes the issue, then I put the PC to sleep again.

        Rarer still it will load the tv interface, that's the only time I have really needed the remote, although you might be able to bind commands to make lg companion push the API call to change to a specific input I haven't bothered.

        The alternative app is colorcontrol that does a few NVIDIA GPU tweaks and also works with Samsung oleds, but I used lg companion first so have zero reason to move and no feedback on it

        1.9m width desk, its 700mm deep, its probably at about 650mm, I sit close to the desk maybe 750-800mm from the screen.
        At this size the pixel ratio works really well for 100% Windows DPI scaling, similar to 24" 1080p or 27" 1440p (105ppi for 42" at 2160p).

    Been eyeing the C2/C3 for about a year now, waiting for lower prices on the 42" as a new TV, and then yesterday my old TV backlight died.

      Unforuntely they reviewed the 65" which while similar, has bonus brightness features which the 42" model lacks.

    Using the click and collect function, looks like only half of nsw stores have stock, rest of States are almost gone. Wonder how much reserve stock they have. Ebay may be cheaper in time but if they cap it, this is prob the sweet spot between waiting too long and striking too early.

    Great for media consumption and console gaming

    Too big to be used exclusively as a PC monitor.

      Nah, I have a 48”,

      just accommodate and sit back further to soak it all in. It’s large enough that you don’t get attached to the size, because you forget about it within a week.

      Unlike a TV as monitor, arms-length works.

      If you’ve ever tried VR with virtual browser windows on a Quest1/2/3 or seen the Vision Pro’s floating “TV” it’s similar in size and proportion. You get used to arms length gaming or TV without turning your neck as much.

      My old GPU does struggle with 4k 120hz and HDR, but it’s fine.

      You can also have 4 regular windows open at the same time, which is its ideal form to browse the web, YouTube, email, notes, at the same time.

      While it seems overwhelming, you get used to it.

      Subnautica is a very different game when you feel claustrophobic, and so most games end up windowed to avoid the eye strain of checking up/down/left/right corners. Downside is, you are fully engaged in a game or you’re thrown out by the menus and text notifications, unlike a console title or VR.
