    Nice find brah

  • +3

The spec sheet is here https://www.gsmarena.com/lenovo_tab_m11-12783.php

    only 15W charging speed

  • +5

Surprised people aren’t going crazy over this one instead, much better specs for little bit extra. Am I missing something?

    • +6

I think they're all kicking themselves

      • +3

        That's me.

I hope my A9+ with the SD695 redeems me.

The G88 was why I didn't go with the Lenovo.

        But $260 is a Bargain.

        • +1

I'm pretty impressed with the A9+ I normally get the S tablets and running the S8+

But I wanted a cheaper tablet with compass for a drone controller which many cheap tablets don't have. So far I've found the A9+ to be excellent.

    • +9

Because most people only use the device as a media consumption device at home. LTE, extra RAM, and pen isn’t needed for most so they don’t get any value from the extras.

      • This is true, that why I stick with my tab S5e. Which old and slow but the display is still better than most other cheaper alternatives around. And for media consumption it doesn’t really matter if it’s that laggy. It just annoying to use if you want to browse the net or something. But even mobile games and emulation old systems works fine.

      • +4

Probably don't need LTE but pen and extra Ram is worth it

        • Tbh, IDK WTF LTE is! IYKWIM.

    • +2

Out of the impulse buy range prob

$150 ish is just a f it- im going to blow that on a cheeky Friday night pub visit anyway for many

    • +1

My elderly mum uses it to only watch YouTube

      • -4

        And Youporn.

        • Telling sator his mum watches porn is a good joke. You don't deserve the down votes

    • +1

Surprised people aren’t going crazy over this one instead, much better specs for little bit extra. Am I missing something?

Old 12nm MediaTek chipset and Lenovo/Motorola are never a good combination

At this price point, the smart money already bought the Galaxy Tab A9+ with 6nm Snapdragon for $320 yesterday or the China spec Xiaoxin

  • +2

Looks like this has 8gb ram VS the cheaper deal which is only 4gb. At the same time, this is only $40 cheaper than the 2022 Xiaoxin pro…

  • Good for clumsy elderly parents to watch YouTube read news etc?

    • Overkill

      • Damn. Should have got that $170 tablet!

    • Yeah

    • -2

They will not know if you chuck a XiongLee 1 gig ram with 32 gig emmc

      • Where do I find that?!
They do need good battery life though as they will be on it all day. And one that doesn’t drain when in sleep mode like my alldocube mini
Went from 100 to 80 in a day with no use

        • -1

XiongLee hadn't had any orders from aged care like they thought they would

          • @paloverde88: I just keep getting ufc fighter. If this was a joke went over my head

  • +1

Will you be able to watch Netflix in HD with this tablet?

    • -6

You can only watch channel 9 on 4:3 480p

      • +4

You can only watch channel 9 on 4:3 480p

Channel 9 app has a 24/7 Seinfeld channel. I see this as a complete win.

        • Don’t use the app, install add on in kodi. Ad free experience for catchup tv.

  • Upgrading from a 2018 ipad. Seems good?

    • Other than having to rebuild an App Library (assuming you require any paid apps) then sure

    • +1

Probably a side grade… This is a budget android tablet, they don't have the best rep (and I'm an android guy)

  • -2

Looking for one with sapphire glass, these are just glass

      • gold case @ and mother of pearl dial… This isn't a watch mate

Could i use something like this to steam link (or moonlight/sunshine) from my PC and play in bed with an xbox controller?

    • Yeah I used to with the old 7" Lenovo tablet. Works great

      • My grail tablet is a 7 inch 1080p/1440p 120hz tablet for around 250.

No one makes that size except the legion but it's pretty pricey.

      • Do you use steam link or moonlight/sunshine? Any issues with connecting a controller?

        • i used moonlight, with a ps4 pad i remember it being hell to get x input working with a handful of games, i ended up having this weird alixpress wireless controller that looks like a telescopic 2x nintendo joycon that worked well. otherwise xbox pad or 8bitdo with a mount would be flawless

edit: the ps4 pad was no fault of moonlight or the tablet, its just steams auto bloody config of controllers messing me around to no end

  • Looks like the pen uses AAAA batteries, which makes me hesitant to buy. There is a USB-C version of the pen it seems, but I can’t find it for sale anywhere.

    • Why is AAAA battery ones no good?

      • You’ll have to replace the batteries often. AAAA batteries are relatively expensive, the cheapest i can find is $5 for a pack of 2, non-alkaline. Can’t find any rechargeable AAAAs. Based on my experience previously with AAAA pens, they last about 3 months with good alkaline batteries and 2 weeks on the cheap batteries. Also gets annoying when you’re trying to take a quick note and turns out your stylus battery is flat. I’d rather pay extra for a rechargeable pen.

Jaycar sells rechargeable ones. I've used them myself for the usi pen and they work alright.

          • @hymio: Huh, didn’t know they exist, thanks. Still not great though, as you’ll still either have to carry a spare or risk the battery going flat.

On a side note, it seems Lenovo makes a rechargeable, USB-C version of the pen, but I can only find it in the UK site and is “no longer in production” which is a bummer.

        • +2

Just take apart a 9V battery and get the 6 AAAAs

          • @songyi: sounds a lot of work for batteries

          • @songyi: Lol, thanks I didn't know that. That's what I'll be doing

            • @Bertus: I think the rate at which the battery is going to run flat is being a bit unrealistic. Unsure if this pen is the same as the Lenovo pen I've used previously, but I replaced the OG battery, and about 9mths later replaced again with rechargeables

          • @songyi:

Just take apart a 9V battery and get the 6 AAAAs

Learnt something today. Also learnt that there are AAAA batteries in the first place lol.

            • @CVonC: Me too! And a long standing question I've had answered! This explains why 9v batteries have a terrible mah rating for the size… Well precisely 400mAh to be exact, which comes from the 6s1p config of 400mAh AAAA's!

First Lenovo pen was my introduction to the Miniature world existence 😂

  • I've got an original iPad Air (released 10 years ago) and it's now slow as dog shit. I'm assuming this would be tons faster?
Does this come with the pen?

    • Yes and yes (read the title)

Damn, the battery still going and what firmware does it run?

  • Can you only apply this code once for an item. I purchased something else yesterday, and now it won't let me use again

Just read the T & C, could only use once during the promotion

Hi all! Long time lurker but first comment ever! This is the deal that finally made me sign up to Afterpay!

I was able to get a further $30 off with my friend’s referral code (and she got $30 credit too). Total was $224.15.

I am planning to use this with a BOOST SIM as a removable Android Auto Unit for my 2011 v6 Honda Accord. Does anyone has experience with this?

    Note:
I had already signed up 5 minutes before I saw the referral benefit. But I asked my friend to send me the referral link and it still worked!

    • +2

Hey TomVercitti have a similar setup in my ute(no LTE though) get headunit reloaded app for android auto. works real well.

      • No issues with overheating?

        • Nah mate not so far. It is mounted pretty much Infront of the middle AC vents though.

  • +1

if it had the Helio G99 I'd be tempted. That CPU seems to be the sweetspot on price performance.

  • Anyone else struggling to find a decent case for this, or am I being special?

    • +1

The same seller has an official folio case. So you're either special or it's not your cup of tea 😜

      • +2

The latter in this case, but still not ruling out the former.

        • It's alright, we're all special sometimes lol.

  • Anyone with pen experience. Would it be like using a samsung s ultra?

  • Does it have palm rejection when using the pen?

  • +1

How does this compare to Aldi's Lenovo M10 that was on clearance for $100 last year?

    • -1

      M11 - M10 = 1?
      Sorry don't actually know.

  • The website is unclear as to which GPS the different models use The more the better for me

  • +1

Is this Better than the galaxy tab A9+ 128gb model with 8gb ram?

    • +1

Someone on top advised A9 is better.

  • Brought one and any cover recommendations?

    • I bought the folio case from the same seller

  • +1

    Thanks OP, panicked. Bought 1.

  • These aren’t 5G are they?

    • 4G/LTE

  • How is the pen? I've spent ages looking for a good pen tablet for OneNote. The S9 series has a mediocre pen. Wish I had something like the surface pen still.

  • "Unfortunately, this code no longer works. Please continue with your order."

    Is it expired already?

    • Looks like it's expired

    • +1

they really thought we would just forget about the cheap price and pay more 😂

      • +1

        I know, right?
Jedi mind trick doesn't work on me though.

  • I opted for an M10 that currently comes out to a few $$ less $246.99 - Considering the screen upgrade that comes with the M10, I don't feel like I lost out too badly. Although depending on your desire to own the pen is something that could be a deal breaker.
