    What is the deal here?

    That's a lot for a treadmill with a tablet

  • +10

It's been the same price for a year.

    This is just SPAM.

Sorry, I did not realise that. The rules do not say it has to be recent.

        ACCC laws about misleading pricing…

        "A saving of $650."

You a claiming a saving when there is no saving compared to your normal price.

        • +7

The listing also has "PRICE DROP!".

How is it a price drop when a year go the same listing had the same price, didn't have the "PRICE DROP!" and instead had "LIMITED STOCK"?

Original Price of a New Peloton is $2,145. These are from Showrooms with no defects, never owned, never registered.

Original Price of a New Peloton is $2,145

      That is irrelevant.

Your normal price from this is $1495

      https://web.archive.org/web/20230325223354/https://graysfitn…

      There is no saving.

    • You have to register a bike now?! That's better than most Main Roads/DMVs!

      • +3

A registered bike? Some cyclists are being triggered right now.

        • At least you don't have to wear a helmet on this… * Ducks for cover.

  • +4

If they aren’t pre-owned, why did they need refurbishing?

    • Maybe they were rented ?

    • They are showroom bikes.

      • +3

So the showroom owned and used them for demos previously? Still sounds like preowned to me. Ex-demo might be more actuate?

        • -4

Once you register a Peloton bike, the ownership and warranty cannot be transfered. These are never registered and come with full Peloton warranty. You can contact Peloton directly about Grays Fitness and they will tell you the same.

I make it a point to have dinner with them before deciding to buy their products.

          • @Muzeeb: You there to talk about monitors or Peleton bikes?

  • +9

Peloton stock down 97% from covid highs. Which makes this bike worth about $64

  • Better off getting a Nordic track with iFit

  • Do these come with a QR code to get 300 free Accor points?….

    • Only if you use the ones at an Accor accomodation.

  • +3

Cheaper getting a used bike ~$200 on Wahoo trainer ~$800. Worst case resale for $100 off.

    • -1

And you can ride outdoors too.

  • -7

Weird comments. It's a good product. This represents a good saving over buying direct. Peloton is expensive, especially the ongoing subscription cost. Maybe it's not for you!

    • +1

      Maybe not for ozbargain.

Never owned implies never used, which clearly isn’t true hence the drop in price from a truely new one isn’t a discount. It’s a depreciation of value.

      • -3

Maybe calling it ex-demo would be clearer, but the comments here suggest people have a chip on their shoulder about something.

    • +2

why are you subscribing to a bike + tablet?

  • Dana says no

These bikes and the $59 monthly membership are great value if you (and/or other people in your household) use it daily. Classes are updated regularly and the platform has everything from strength (free weights), to yoga, meditation, +++. You can choose to filter workouts by body area, duration, music etc. Suits the "time-poor" fitness enthusiast. 😁

  • The + is $2,195
    https://graysfitness.com.au/buy/peloton-bike-plus/

What's the difference between the two?

    • Larger screen which can be tilted/pivoted, apparently better audio, auto resistance and auto calibration. I don’t own either - I just have done enough reading about them. Perhaps an actual peloton bike user can correct me if I’ve gotten anything wrong here.

  • Get a Nordictrack or Proform bike, then buy a cheap iFit subscription off eBay. Love mine and I get family subscription each year for about $250. Can even get a Proform bike for free when you pay for three years family subscription for about $1700 and it is the same bike I bought for $1999 3 years ago without ifit subscription.

  • $389 shipping to Brisbane…
