LG C3 65" OLED EVO 4K Smart TV OLED65C3PSA (2023) $2,788 + Delivery ($0 to Select Areas) @ Appliance Central

540

Not the lowest price ever but a pretty good price nonetheless.
C4 stock dropping soon, so I guess we can expect to see good prices on these models.
JB (low stock) and Good Guys will price match this too (incl. delivery).
HN are being themselves and think this price doesn't represent market value, which seems to just be code for it's a half decent deal and they can't come near the price.

There isnt enough stock around to wait, its now or never.

      • +1

Thats what they say every year. The c2 was better priced last year and the c3 has been cheaper than this deal already. Please people hold off for an actually decent deal unless you dont care about your hard earned money.

        • +4

I have seen the stock for half of Australia at JB. its under 30.

          • @ashumz: Any idea on the stock of the 83"?
            I'm hoping for the 83 under 5k

            • +1

@killabob: Very little, got the last one in my area at HN this week.

              • @t123: Whay did you pay? Happy for a DM answer 👍

              • @t123: I'm interested in the price you negotiated too. DM me too please.

          • @ashumz: Then wait for S95C/C4/S90C/S90D deals.

Exactly - stock of the C3 model is becoming very scare….at least in WA.

I'm pretty sure I grabbed one of the last of the 65" C3 models from Harvey Norman this week. It was a display TV & I got it for $2,350……it was for my Dad. He's stoked with it.

        • You got a 65" C3 for 2350? That's impressive! Harvey Norman won't even match 2788 now.

          • +1

@financialminimalism: He did mention it was a display TV.. so you would expect a fair discount over new considering it’s likely had a few hours clocked up on it

          • +1

@financialminimalism: Yes - being a display model it had 6,000 hoirs on it., which is the same amount of hours that my 4 year old CX model TV has in our main living area.

I got them to connect the TV to the internet so I could run some screen tests on the display to check for dead pixels, burn-in etc and it passed with flyong colours - I didn’t find anything.

    • The easter sale never came…

I wish my B8 would die so I can justify buying this. I want (need?) 120hz.

Maybe this could be a monitor for “work” to really aid in displaying those “spreadsheets” for “presentations”.

    • Still waiting for my B6 to die. Even has subtitle burn in. Has 13865 hours on time but still going strong. Surprising for a LG.

      • oh shut up you guys im still waiting for my Hisense ULED M7 to die…

      • guys, guys please I’m still waiting for my 10 year old Aldi Bauhn 65” to die…….

    • Rather find another location in the house you need a TV.

My 2010 Samsung 46" C750 LCD is now my wife's YouTube fitness instructor TV in the garage. Annoyingly, the colours are better than that of the 2018 4K HDR Samsung that replaced it.

    • My C8 died - there's still hope!

    • I'm waiting for my B8 to die as well. All those formats working well natively on the C3 is so tempting but not tempting enough for me to replace my perfectly fine TV for 2.7k lol

  • Im gonna hold out… hopefully Goodguys will do a better deal this coming week. Is stock really that scarce?

    • Guy at JB told me stock of C3 is pretty much gone.

    • +2

I ordered the 65 inch C3 from Good Guys 4 weeks ago and the order only changed to available for delivery in the last few days.

I think the scarcity of stock is very real.

We need trade in deals for TV's.

Still hoping for G3 77 to go for under 5… then I'm hopping on it.

  • Looking at the Videopro page , there’s plenty of 65’s left
but the 77’s are disappearing fast ,
Another month before the C4 turns up though ,
Maybe another boatload of these 3’s on the way .

  • What’s the cheapest ever on 77?

    • for the c3 i think its around 3.8-9?

  • +1

C4 65" is $3288 on LG edu portal, plus $300 voucher.

    • Thats amazing for C4.. mind checking what G4 77" is on LG edu portal?

      • +1

        $6119 plus $300 LG voucher.

    • +2

edu is basically 10% off (VIP pricing) then another 15% off edu coupon - total about 23.5% off displayed price. Plus $300 LG voucher

      • wow, thats huge..

      • No discount on the 42. Just did all the sign up and Nada. The 48 has 700 off but it's out of stock. Ffs.

        • +1

G3 42" is $1452 and C4 42" is $1682. Before coupon (although I think you get less $ coupon if order is less than $2000)

    • Would you mind checking the price of 77" G3 on the edu store?

      • Listed price minus 23.5% discount = $4971

    • Why is it showing up as $5299 on the site and not $3288? Does this show once I sign up?

      • +1

You mean $4299 which is the RRP. Minus 23.5% discount and you get to $3288

You need to sign up using an edu account and opt into VIP

    • Didn’t know this thank you. I just preordered the 77 inch C4 for $4589.23 with free delivery using the deal and $200 cash back in lg online store voucher. Very happy I could score $1500 (1700 with vouch) off a preordered brand new tv!

      • Similar…I just did the C4 83" for $6199 + $300 voucher.

  • Hey guys, I recently purchased OLED65B3PSA (Display model) for $1250, was that too high for a display model? I also got the 5 year warranty with it for an extra $200. Also currently I have a panasonic 55inch oled that i had on a third party stand mount. I noticed the LG OLEDs have really low profile stands, how do people use Soundbars with them?

    • +1

Looks like a great price to me. I'd have definitely checked the power on hours first though.

      • I tried to but was getting it through a mate who works at another store and not the one selling the display model and he was worried it will get sold soon if i didnt jump on it.

      • Tv delivered and installed. Has 2650 hours on it
.is that alright for the price I paid?

        • +1

That's 110 days of being turned on 24x7 (to probably the brightest demo mode possible) so less than ideal. But it's a 65" OLED for $1250, I still think you did pretty well.

          • @Hinee: Yeah the hours is higher than i had hoped. but you are right the price seems decent plus with the 5 year warrany, i hope it means if there are any issues it will happen during that period.

Go to Bunnings and buy one these floating shelves -
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/products/storage-cleaning/storag…

I got one for our 77" & 65" LG OLED's to match the colour of the wood for the entertainment unit. They also come in various sizes, so each shelve fits the base of each TV perfectly and provides the necessary clearance for a Sonos Arc soundbar in front.

      • I did read of someone else who had bought something similar from Ikea Except Ikea isnt that close to me. Didnt realise Bunnings had similar items too. Thanks mate, much easier for me to go there.

  • 65" s90c was ~$2100 a few days ago. is this really worth the extra cost?

    • The only advantage of this one is Dolby Vision support. The Samsung only supports HDR+. Other than the The Samsung is better in every regard.

      • Not true, Samsung is terrible at up scaling standard definition content, most noticeable when smoothing out black.

Dolby vision, Pretty much all the streaming services, as well as Xbox, utilise Dolby vision. Dolby vision is no joke either, it is the gold standard for HDR content and out performs HDR10+ by a huge margin.

Samsung further has a higher noticeable judder than other oled tvs in slow motion. Doesn’t support DTS for those who enjoy blu ray and about 1.5x the power consumption.

The only benefit the Samsung has over the c3 is 144 hz, the price difference, and slightly brighter and richer colour gamut, but which is better, is in the eye of the consumer as some people prefer a more natural than artistic look.

The one downside of LG is the game mode brightness drop fiasco, but it has a fix, with a simple youtube search and a few alterations on the tvs settings.

        • Ahhh i see. I didnt know about those. Is the brightness drop only when using the 120hz mode? Dolby Vision is superior too for sure.

          • @Tyler00: Game mode sacrifices high brightness for better response time and input lag. I dont believe the hz is affected.

The workaround is playing in film maker mode with specific settings enabled and disabled to get the game mode effect without a loss in brightness. There is a few guides on YouTube that give you how to.
