How'd you manage to spend $1680 or $3200 worth of groceries, in such a short period?

      • +1

You take advantage of Double Points Weekends (usually towards the end of the promo) + Bonus Points from Participating Brands/Products.

      • +1

you should ask how many flybuys point i get :)

      • Family of four spends on average $250/week on groceries. 13 week promotional period, that's $3250 right there.

  • +2

Spending $1680 on a casserole dish or $3200 on just points alone, when it is $311 is ridiculously crazy. All of these offers are crazy awful. Hasn't Coles had similar offers before that was far better.

  • +5

I translated the credits to sums required to spend for each item:

    • Utensil Rest/Marinating Dish - "Free" with $400 spent or spend $200 + $10 extra
    • Small Baker 24x14cm - "Free" with $720 spent or spend $360 + $18 extra
    • Medium Baker 30x18cm - "Free" with $1,120 spent** or spend $560 + $28 extra
    • Large Baker 38x23cm - "Free" with $1,520 spent or spend $760 + $38 extra
    • Cast Iron Grill Pan 26cm - "Free" with $2000 spent or spend $1,000 + $50 extra
    • Cast Iron Oval Casserole Dish with Lid 30cm - "Free" with $3,200 spent or spend $1600 + $80 extra

Have fun at Coles + LOL!

Have fun at Coles + LOL!

Well, if you are already spending your money there, it doesn't cost you anything extra.

      • This + bonus points will probably get them lower.

  • +3

redeem these credits for KitchenAid Ovenware until 11:59pm on Tue 23 July 2024 or while stocks last.

Best factor that in to your projections.

    • +2

Someone may spend $1600 for that Casserole sooner than you, so you better spend faster!

      • Not what I was saying but sure.

        • You had my attention, but now you have my curiosity.

So what did you mean by "Best factor that [while stocks last] in to your projections." then?

  • +8

Trying to find anything available when you've built up enough points is the real issue.

    • yep.. always horseshit stock available unless you want to go Horsham or some far off place

      • So far I’ve managed to get some sparkling wine flutes and barbeque gloves. For the gloves I had to wander around quite a few shops before I found some. We don’t really collect the points just check in every now and again. From the online reviews the cookware isn’t great quality with these promotions.

I bought the large baking dish last time, and it's really nice, but it cracked quite easily - can still use it but it's pretty fragile.

  • Last time, their baking dish was crap.

Started to peel and then rust after using about 3 times.

    • yea I had enough credits for a few things last time.

but didnt need anything so asked mom if she would like one of those large cooking spoons with holes in it. she said no she has one already. never ended up using the credits. maybe it was a good thing.

  • Nice, now this is something much more useful than any collectors plastic/paper themed stuff.

    • You don't like Pokémon?

      • I like Pokemon. But you got to catch them all, and I didn't.

  • +2

Wow, free 30cm cast Iron Cassarole if I spend only 1600 aud

    • +2

      1680* AUD.

And you have to spend that while the stock lasts.

That is about 2 weeks shopping for us thanks to Albo's inflation.

        • That's shit stirring.

          • -3

            @pizzaguy: I like stirring Albo…

  • I never spend enough to get even the cheapest item. I predominantly shop at coles.

    • I dont spend much per shop either but I had enough for a few things, such as the plastic cooking spoon..

    • I don't shop much at Coles too. I find a few tips that I'll try:
      - 3 credits: Spend $60 per week (stack with the current 10 points bonus offer)
      - 1 credit: Pick up an item with bonus credit each shop
      - 5 credits: join the Coles Plus trial
      - 2x credits: for Coles Plus members between 20-21 Apr

With these, I should get minimum 20 credits if things go well.

      • +2

I appreciate the advice. However, its seems like a lot of effort and expense for a dish to rest my spoon on, for which I have no need.
