      in the title my guy

  • Great news was about to grab some today! Shipping to regional NSW already seems a little better?

Curiously, have any extra stock floating around for greys/blacks sorta colours for the basic PLAs before I order?

    • The restock for them should coming in on the 30th to the port and about the 7-8th into store

      • Ah bummer outside promo period then. Will still put an order in. Savings wipe off the shipping costs thanks mate!

Forgot to ask, is it Wednesday only for shipping still or more frequently? Feels bad if just missed it heh

        • This week seems Like ill need to do 2 auspost shipments so there may be another this friday

  • Do these spools have an available cover model to suit AMS?

  • Shows a picture of what looks like a 16 sided die with the heading "$2 off Most Rolls"…

    • +1

Well, when you click on it you’re taken to a page showing composite filaments filled with a specific metal for each type. Perhaps the pic of the die is just an example of what you can make?

      • +1

Not having a dig, just thought it amusing.

  • Does this include silk and dual/tri colour silk PLA, TPU, etc as well?

    • +1

yep all of them as well as long as they are on cardboard spools

  • Do you have any PLA+/Pro/equivalent?

    • +2

the matte pla is esentially PLA + / Pro as it has additives in it to make it well matte so it does have quite good layer adhesion but its not marketed as Pro or Plus

  • @Sidddd when is black ASA due back in stock?

    • +1

      7-10 days

      • Awesome thanks, I'll grab 3.

Just my luck. I literally just bought 10 spools from Sidddd 2 days ago!

    • Spools, it is never too much :)

Why are you switching to plastic if I may ask? Will you have options for just buying refills? I always like how the cardboard was less plastic waste.

    • Same, I prefer cardboard and never had issues with it but BambuLab AMS folks appears to be the ones pushing changes coz AMS doesn't do well with it.
Also, cardboard spools appears to be giving him some hard time: https://siddament.com.au/blogs/transparency/moving-back-to-p…

      • Bambu ams was a pushing factor but the biggest was B2B clients needing spools and not wanting cardboard as sometimes B2B orders are fulfilled with stock I have on hand rather then wait for 45 days for the factory to make, send and recive spools.

also the amount of spools getting absloutley smashed in shipping was brutal, these new spools are made of pc

    • Actually refills cost more to buy then regular spools, the way most factories explained it.

when they make 50kg batches the first and last roll are always waste as the machine purges, so out of 50kg 2kg already wasted. With refill spools sometimes the workers in the factory can drop or accidentally unwind the spools so on a batch of 50kg instead of just 2kg wasted to a machine around 4kg get wasted if that makes sense.

The refils end up wasting a bit more and costing more for no benefit, also that doesnt account for when you may get a spool and drop it while refilling it too.
