  Thanks OP, bought one. Did a bit of research and the S8's real benefit is the better obstacle avoidance which is negligible cause you want to give the area a quick clean of debris so the bot can actually mop the floor instead of avoiding shit the entire time

  Is this really good for Mopping . I currently have an Ecovac T8+ AIVI and the MoP is good , if you use it daily, but you need to clean it and add the water every day manually, and also the mappiing is terrible, having to create a new map every 2 or 3 weeks. I know Roborack is much better for the maps , but not so sure about the mopping system

    Bags are cheap (Chinese sites aftemarket) and can even be emptied and reused if someone wants to go through the effort

    So it! This is the easiest docking plate to clean. Other may have better sensors but this place comes out and washable. Check YouTube reviews how annoying other roborock docking plates are to clean
