20% off Grafted "Fruit Salad" Trees + Delivery ($0 NSW C&C) @ Fruit Salad Trees

180

20% off grafted "fruit salad" trees. Grow multiple fruits on one tree. Perfect if you have limited space but still want to grow your own fruit.
I hadn't seen a sale on their trees before personally.

I'm sure this is quite a niche deal, but we'd been looking at these trees for a while.

I believe it finishes after Easter weekend. Discount automatically applied in cart.

Wow very cool. Altho it's not exactly a fruit salad with 6 different types of apple/citrus/stonefruits. That's still just an apple/citrus/stonefruit salad .

Unfortunately you can only graft trees in the same family together! Sorry I don't write the laws of nature 🤣 Still a good for people like myself who want to grow lemons and limes on one tree but can't be bothered with the fiddle of doing the grafting ourselves

Yeah the citrus one makes sense…as it's not something people eat in large quantities. So makes sense to grow fewer of different varieties.

Can't wait till we can grow strawberries, apples mangoes, chestnuts and carrots on the same tree! (Yeah I know carrots don't grow on trees, but that's the miracle agriculture we need).

      • Personally I'm waiting for money trees

        I eat a lemon a day.

        I am from Springfield though.

Could find everything except a price. That just annoys people.

Can only assume from that that they are expensive.

Can't be bothered wasting any more time trying to find out how expensive.

  • At first I thought this was a joke, then I thought it was real… and now I'm confused.

    • Imagine how the trees must feel!

    • Me! I thought a hoax as it is April Fool’s Day. But now I am not sure.

It’s a pretty elaborate website if a hoax.

  • For harsh Sydney hot/cold weather, what combo would be best?

    • I think it gives you a break-down on the website of what grows well in what climates

One graft will almost always dominate, especially if you don't pay attention. Another option is to plant the varieties you want in the same hole, I haven't done more than 3 in a single hole, and it's often cheaper. Can also get a scion from someone and graft it yourself if you have an existing tree, it isn't hard.

    • I don't mind being dominated lemon.

      • I'd prefer a couple of melons personally….. but I don't think they grow on trees.

      • Dominated in the one hole
