  • i got mine for $149, but i don't think you will see that deal anymore. $199 isn't a bad deal at all. if you are an advanced player or want to get really good, get the blade,
if you are senior, new to the game, or mid, get the clash. advanced can use this too, but will benefit the rest of the population more.

If you are after the (normal) blade 98 with 18x20 string patterns, Tennis Only has been having 50% sale for a while https://www.tennisonly.com.au/Wilson_Blade_98_18x20_v8/descp…

    • 18x20 is for more control.

      16x19 is for more spin.

because of rafa, most want spin for the modern game.
18x20 is more of the old school game with more control, most don't use this anymore.

      • That's just not true.

Most club players could use more control, they haven't got the technique to even generate much spin.

Heaps of top players using 18x20 still, you may have heard of Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka

        • really none of this is right.

control is a word thrown around a lot but if you aren't generating enough spin using 16x19 then 18x20 is not going to help.

18x20 lets you take full cuts at the ball but you are generating all the spin and pace yourself.

There are plenty of examples of being successful with either one. At club level, none of this matters. No one has the right footwork for it to matter.

@commandershephard: All of you are wrong.

Control is busy fighting KAOS, and spin is what PR firms deliver.

            18x20 is 360.

            @commandershephard: agreed

but you have to use less tension on the 16 x 19 to give it more time for that ball to sink in and catapult off with spin.

i own many of both string patterns, and with the exact same strings and exact same tensions, the 16x19 will generate more spin.

the racquet is only part of the puzzle, but the string and tension is the most important part of that puzzle.

HEAD is better than this otherwise the Jocker GOAT would have not been using it and beating all Fedal and proxies from his childhood.

    • lol, the head that he uses is unavailable to us mere mortals. his racquet is actually just painted like the one they are trying to sell, but it isn't that racquet at all.

    • Ooooh another to add to your Master List!
      Racquet: Head

  • where could i get a decent racquet for kids
