According to a friend of mine Gore-Tex is meant to be the best material for waterproof jackets due to very high water resistance and wind resistance while remaining breathable (so it does not trap sweat inside).

I was keeping my eye on this jacket as it was one of the cheaper Gore-Tex jackets on the market. It is now on sale at 40% off normal retail price.

This jacket is just an outer shell and does not have any built in insulation. For winter you would need to wear this jacket over a fleece or down to stay warm.

Comes in Blue, Black and Grey colours. All sizes available except for grey colour at time of posting.

  Dont fall for Kathmandu's bullshit supposed "sales" they have everyday.

  Edit: maybe it's a good sale, I don't know. Just expressing my distaste for Kathmandu's dirty marketing tactics.

  I have this jacket (bought one a couple years ago but it's basically the same). It's actually relatively warm in winter. The Gore-Tex does help to keep the rain off your skin and clothes, but the outer shell is not waterproof and gets pretty saturated. I like the jacket overall, I think I paid a similar price for it at the time.

  Shame really. Been into Kat on 50% specials sales and staff near on begging me to buy . Thermal unders - very average quality but helped - no more.
