"Unfortunately, this seller won't post to your location. Please update your delivery address and try again."

    Wonderful.

    • +1

same. i'm in tassie btw. oh well, i probably didn't need this much filament anyway.

      • +3

        Same, no postage to WA.

    • Looks like its basically Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane only.

I'd even be happy to pay for postage at this price

    • +3

Seems the Jayo_Official_Store and the Jayo-3D stores do have shipping (at least to WA)

They both have the Buy 10 Pay 6 deal as well as other deals like buy 4 pay 3 etc

      • Yep I noticed that but they do charge $10 delivery - at least I can confirm Jayo-3D does.
Still, that totals $129.95 for me with a selection of PETG rolls.

Holding off on that purchase button though as I do have a bit of it already.

        • +1

          Jayo_Official_Store deals have free shipping

          • @dabhbl: Nice one! Saved another $10, taking the total down to $119.16. The only 'issue' with this store is they are out of orange.

      • Thanks!

    $129 for 10 rolls of PLA+, damnnnn

    • Alright, 5 black, 1 grey, 1 blue, 1 red, 1 green and 1 yellow of PLA+ for $132 delivered is amazing.
      Thanks Jimbo

      • no problem we all in this together

it has been a REALLLLL slippery slope for me with 3d print.

me: i am going to just buy this bog standard cr6-se and 1 roll of black pla …nekminit - should i start a print farm????

        • I'm getting to the point that I feel like I need a spreadsheet stocktake of my filament. It's getting out of hand, but there's always something I'm short on.

Actually, I might do that now…

          • @NigelTufnel: how are you keeping them dry is what i am wondering…
even with 5 spools (4 on ams, and 1 on my cr6-se) i wonder if i should invest in a dryer..and idk some vaccum seal bags or something

            • @Jimothy Wongingtons: Tbh I've never had an issue with humidity with my PLA+ even in Brisbane right now where it's humid af I just keep them in my cupboard with some of those moisture absorbers aroudn

              • @theguyrules: that was my plan too - i had a space in my wardrobe where i could store it - but wondering how far do i need to take it.

i mean it does get pretty wildly humid in brisbane, do you remember a while ago we had non stop rain for weeks - then non stop heat - and EVERYTHING went mouldy, like its YEARS later and i am still finding stuff hidden away eg under the stairs, or in a random box on my shelf and its just ALLLLLL mould inside. I went to put on a jacket the other day and i put my hand in and it felt…furry and i thought..if i turn this pocket inside out it better not be mould…it was.

                • @Jimothy Wongingtons: I dont know how I've been so lucky that I've never had a mould issue in Brissy

                  • @theguyrules: the whole of my downstairs level has issues with damp i would say - free airflow is normally non existent for 1.

                    • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Sounds like someone should be watching the ozbargain dehumidifier stuffs…. or at least regularly run a fan near the access point (depending if it is a cave/ wine cellar or ground floor living)

                      • @rooster7777: Yeah I tried a vornado to draw air in and one to draw air out and it did make it a little better but mannnn on the humid or hot days it is terrible lol

            • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: Yeah, I don't bother storing PLA in any special way. If it needs drying (which is rare), I'll chuck it in the food dehydrator for a few hours.
For PETG/TPU/ASA I store it in some 5.5L sistema klip-lock tubs with some dessicant. But I only have a few spools <10 of that in use at any point in time.

I'm in Brisbane too. If it's raining, can't leave PETG out for a day before it's unprintable.

            • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: From what I've seen on Facebook groups in Oz, people really go overboard on the whole filament drying thing.

I have no issues with PLA and humidity and I used to live in the tropics. Same with ABS.

I've only had to be careful with PETG (after weeks of keeping it out) and polycarbonate, neither of which I use frequently.

              • +1

@rumblytangara: I'm a newbie and don't print very often, but I just store the filaments in their original (resealable) bags, with their original silica dessicant inside.

It's just a little extra work when printing, so maybe I'll come up with a better solution if I start printing more often.

            • @Jimothy Wongingtons: 18L IP67 snap lock boxes. You can fit 4 spools in each. Print desiccant holders for the centre of the spools.

              https://www.bunnings.com.au/ezy-storage-18l-waterproof-ip67-…

              • @rumblytangara: I can fit 5 spools upright in these

              • @rumblytangara: Yo! Good find! I’ll pick some 2-3 up. Maybe put in 3 spools, and a bigger desiccant bucket?

                • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: You don't need huge amounts of desiccant, just print some holders for the centres of the spools and you're good for a long time unless you're constantly opening and closing the boxes.

Refreshing dessicant is also incredibly fast and easy.

If you're printing PLA or ABS, the whole drying thing is vastly overrated and not worth obsessing about unless you hit real printing problems caused by humidity. I've not had problems with these materials.

PETG is maybe, but if you're getting through rolls fairly quick also not worth worrying about.

If anything, the boxes are a great way to organise loose rolls. Cram as many rolls in as you can.

            • +1

@Jimothy Wongingtons: What I do is put them in vacuum sealed bag for long term storage or large ziplock with silica sachets if I'm using them regularly. Then dehydrate both the filaments and silica in my air fryer/oven every now and then if needed to refresh them.

          • +1

@NigelTufnel: Hmm… 21 full spools (of 39 in total), but I am on my last little bit of grey PLA.
What I really need is a deal on Black and White ASA. Might just grab a few ABS from Sunlu instead, since Jayo only seem to do 650g spools…

  • +1

If only they weren't those stupid cardboard spools

    • Cardboard spools work fine for me. But I'm not using an AMS, is that the problem you have with them?

    • for ams yeah i see the issue
for ams-lite they been ok so far (But only tried siddament rolls so far)

      • No issues with the cardboard spools on my AMS-Lite with 10-11 spools.

        • +1

I have multiple bambus and they have over 10k hours on them. Ive run about 20 odd kilos of the cardboard spools using the printable adapters. Yes they work but the cardboard still deteriorates and causes alot of debris to fill the ams. I also found alot of cardboard inside the extruder housing which suggests to me that strands of cardboard end up attaching to the filament itself and follows it down into the nozzle. It hasnt caused any quality issues (other than the odd spool being too light) but I wouldnt recommend them if you're using an AMS.

    • +1

Saw a hack where you did something like put electrical tape around the edge? Can't remember what it was exactly, worth looking into

      • yeah can be a bit hit and miss from what i saw - again depends ams or ams lite etc

i saw someone print a whole reel spooler where it was powered by a drill and it would spool off from a cardboard and back onto the bambu spools

      • See above

    • +2

FWIW the recent Jayo and Sunlu rolls I bought were all plastic spools.
They also came with little filament clips and vacuum packed in the thick zip lock bags that are way better than the thin supermarket ones that you have to buy yourself like a sucker.
Small but quite nifty improvements 👏

But yes YMMV! My previous rolls of Jayo were on cardboard.

      • Yeah looks like they are switching it in the process of. If you look at one of the pictures on their eBay stores it tells you. Good times! I was worried as I use an AMS.

    • +1

Received mine from this sale yesterday, they’re all plastic spools.

      • I got a variety of different stuff - very relieved they were all on plastic spools. Pretty happy with the quality so far too, especially at about half the price of brand name stuff. I'll see how it goes when it's not totally dry…

  • +1

For a moment thought there was a filament brand called YOOOOO

    • +1

the way some of these chinese factorys name their factories/business names and products i think it would not be that more wild

i think a brand or product called YOOOOOO is more catchy than a brand like Lubluelu or golden-phoenix-nanhai-whambamshangalang-dragonfly-on-a-lotusleaf-gongsi

      • +1

That's exactly why I thought there was a brand called YOOOOO.

        I've used Eryone filament.

  • Is this brand any good? I always buy SunLu which I am happy with, but Jayo seems to be cheaper quite often.

    • Sunlu is basically Jayo. Used around 10-11kg with no issues. Comparable to eSun, Sunlu, Bambu Lab etc.

    • i do have to wonder..how much cheaper can it get before quality jumps out the window

      • +1

I think $10-11/kg is the floor.

    • Every PLA that I've used has been essentially the same for printing.

I've not used anything so cheap as to be totally unbranded though.

    • All over online they say Jayo and Sunlu are the same manufacturer, but Jayo give you more, 1.1kg. Pretty noticeable difference when you're talking about stacking various discounts and coupons.

I thought it was a bit of a marketing trick but I weighed some recent Sunlu and Jayo purchases, all plastic spools, and the Jayo ones did come in roughly 100g more.

      • -1

Any tips on colour choice? like most used colour ones? The silk PLA+ any good? I am to get 1 each in a variety between PLA, PLA+, and Silk PLA+. Quite many options for the decision to be made.

        • Update: Got a mix of them. The PLA+ black seems OOS atm lol. These cost me more than my printer itself lol. 1yr supply sorted?

      • Wow I've been avoiding Jayo as I thought might be some cheapo shitty brand, but been very happy with SunLu. Guess I'll have to give Jayo a try then.

    • I have only used Jayo and my prints are fine.

  • The main Jayo and Sunlu stores participate in the deal so you can get pretty decent prices on smaller amounts like the Buy3-Pay2 ones if you're only after a few. Like cheaper than Sidd given it's free shipping.

    • +1

i paid practically double with sidd compared to this - but am happy. its good stuff - but not ideal when i want to crank out some fun little toys for the kids like swords and then they go and break them usually within half a day

  • +1

It's a big time going through price check on each and colour choice. Now I need a break.

  • +1

PETG is cheaper than PLA for some reason too.

Almost always the case. If someone's charging more for PETG they're ripping you off.
Price is generally ABS<PETG<PLA<PLA+<ASA/TPU in my experience.

  • wowaweewawoowa

Anyone who is looking for a similar deal, and need black, search ebay for seller "sunlu_official" - They have a buy 8 pay for 5 deal
Pro tip: even though its not advertised, use the code "CBT24APR" for an additional 20% off at checkout

  • I plan to have 3D printer, which should I get?

    • +1

3 black 3 white then 4 in whatever colour you fancy maybe

      • and the type? is it important?
        pla, petg ??thanks

        • +2

Stick with PLA for beginning. For this price, I got PLA+ instead. Black and white to be the most used from my reading. Tho, I got a mix of each to test out. Wish me luck.

        • Imo pla but only because widest range of colours and most straight forward for whatever printer you end up getting

  • Just bought two from inkstation for $56 last night. FML.

  • +1

Shipping weight on my tracking is 14.1kg. Damn that would have been pricey

    • I think by now they have some pretty good rates with the sheer volume and frequency of sales. Iirc they use a 3pl service to facility the orders anyway so again probably get an even better rate.

  • +1

I got my 10 rolls, mostly more exciting stuff (silk, rainbow, TPU, etc) that can't go in the AMS anyway - still only came to $138.

Running out of stock pretty fast though, mostly just PLA and a little PETG left now.

    • +1

      Rainbow can’t go into ams?

I am thinking I need to print some kinda Y splitter or something for my ams lite so I can load abrasive filament via external holder. I shoulda ordered some tubes from Bambu when I ordered my nozzles smh

      • +1

Rainbow is just a silk pla. It can go into ams.

Silks tend to be more brittle and prone to snapping, so YMMV. You could just test yours by hand to see if it's brittle or not.

I've not had any issues with silks, though since getting an AMS I've only used Jaycar and Siddament. Which to the hand feel exactly the same as every other brand of silk that I've used.

      • I think the rainbow I got was regular PLA (the rainbow silk was sold out unfortunately or I would totally have gotten that) so it probably can go in the AMS, but there's no real benefit to it - no auto-detection and it's not like I'll need the AMS for multi-colour prints lol.

I'm also thinking about printing a splitter and buying those circular clip things and some PTFE tube so I can keep the AMS connected while using the rear spool holder. I've forgotten to plug the AMS back in a couple of times and ended up with several metres on the floor (luckily it spools back up easily enough)!

        • Huh, didn't even know there were rainbow filaments in non-silk.

I've done multicolour prints with rainbow/tri/dual colour and normal pla though.

The main issue I have with the AMS on a Bambu is undersized spools- they are a big PITA and often tangle.

    • Also , when I was trying to do mixed types it wasn’t giving me the buy 10, pay 6

  • Have they put the price of the rolls up? PLA+ @ $27.79x6 = $166.74. How are people getting 10 rolls for $130?

    • +1

Did you add coupon at checkout ? It does NOT auto prompt so must be done manually

      • Amateur from me - didn't see the coupon code… Thanks mate.

  • Can one of you bastards cancel your order please 🤣
Was about to checkout and it all appeared as Out of Stock for white pla/pla+ and a bunch of other colours.

    • pla white shows 1 left when i try to add to cart.

    • Very slightly more expensive, but there's always sunlu

  • For those running these on the Bambu Lab P1S/X1C, is it beneficial to stick to high speed PLAs?

    • Haven't tested, but I suspect not. Especially if you're sticking to the default nozzle.

I think the heater cart runs out of steam first. And the hotend cooling isn't exactly the best- I've noticed much worse overhangs when pushing nozzle speed.

  • Reckon they would get more stock before the 20% off expires?
    Can’t justify getting colours I don’t need.

  • +1

Bought a stash I didn't need at 10am yesterday, delivered at 8am this morning. Only complaint I have is I didn't get a chance to pull the trigger on the fancier colours and ended up with the clear PLA option instead - but thats a me problem. Thanks J-Wo!

    • Nice one, mine still in transit, ordered on 9th 🥲

  • +1

PLA+ colours are all back in stock.

  • These came today, all plastic spools. Just started a print with one of them now (the corn from this set), hopefully the little one likes it

They all seem to have come with those little holder clips for holding the end of the spool too, which is nice.
