  • My Sim expires mid June, if I buy this and activate then how much data will I have for the $195 one? Or is it 170gb+bonus?

  • +1

It's yet to know how much data for the $230 SIM after 29/04/2024, but Boost has been keeping their prepaid plan unchanged for months.
Normally we will receive the new poster from Boost a week before 29/4/24, will post it here then.

  • When are the new Boost plans being released?

    • The plans changed last July, I haven't heard anything about them changing again…

      • One of the reps on chat told me that will be changing again this year.

Love that you just out there chatting to Boost reps 🥰

@miasommers: I had to contact them a couple of weeks back…

They mentioned it after I complained about the ridiculous price increases over the last few years.

      For the lazy.
$50 off the annual sims via cash rewards.

      • that one didn't work last time i tried 3 times to order and now that deal is finished.

        • The code has expired but that wasn't for the annual sim. The $50 is via Cash rewards and works fine. I ordered 2 yesterday.
I just checked and it's still active.

  • Please don't simply copy-and-paste your old deal description without correcting for wrong information and broken links. We will remove parts of your offer for which no links were provided.

    • Thanks a lot for your help. We will correct it next time.

  • Is there no difference between the Boost Network and Telstra Pre-paid?

Asking as my partner is on Telstra Pre-paid. She uses it for work purposes (for hotspot) + only Telstra works there.

  • The $2 sim - I thought you had to port out for 30 days to be abele to port in as a new customer and use these again?

    • that $2 sim is probably from another telco

    • I remember I didn't have to port my current boost number before. Just had to buy a new SIM card with a 12 month plan then call boost customer service to help with the transfer. Does anyone know if this still works?

      • It used to work this way but many people have reported that Boost (support) no longer support doing this - and you would most likely have to jump through the porting hoops if you want to access this way of getting a discount.

        • Ok thanks. Ended up porting to lebara. They currently have a good prepaid long term deal for $189.

  • What is the expiry date of the simcard, please?

    • 08/09/2025

  • Can someone explain the $2 sim port process please?

    • The $2 sim is from a different carrier. You follow that carrier's process to port your number to them - in effect becoming their (new) customer.

Once that has completed, you can then port back to Boost (using a new sim) and will be able to take advantage of the (discounted) pricing offered to being a new customer.

The whole process is normally done within an hour (sometimes within 15 minutes or less).

The carrier counts on most people (existing customers) not being willing to go through these steps to save $35-50 (which is effectively a 15-20% discount or profit margin depending on your POV).

      • no need to wait 30 days? You can port out and back within hours? (have you tried this?)

  • Can I port out from Telstra post paid without porting to another provider and then to boost ?

  • Heads up - I was sent a complimentary $2 sim for Lebara which has a minimum $5 recharge if you do it through the website.
