First post? Saw someone posted a similar deal earlier today, but it got deleted. I just received an email saying the price has been reduced by $45.

The original price was $1,450.00, and after applying the code, it comes down to $1,203.50, which is close to the last time’s ATL deal.

I was looking for either the 4070TS or the 4080 (4080S) deals to see which one had dropped in price first, and I would pull the trigger. Ended up seeing this deal first.

Nice deal. But I’ll wait for the 4070 Ti Super GT EX Ultra Turbo to come out. Or at the very least a couple more suffixes.

I miss xtx adding random shit like BFG at the end of their card names.

+32% cost for +15-20% performance compares to the $912 4070super deal.

if you have a 4k monitor choose this one, else 4070s is a better choice.

Good intel, thanks, I keep wondering how much the 12gb vs 16gb vram comes into play for longevity. Lots of interweb chat about vram these days.

      • +1

Nvidia AI is 16gb and higher from memory so that may make a huge difference

5080 gonna be mint, imma wait for that

    • What's the eta on those?
      And price?

      • +1

        ETA: 5080/5090 rumoured Q4 2024, so probably attainable Q1 or Q2 2025
        Price: high

      • WOuld be $1999, that's the new norm. looks like no more HODL now.

  • Holding out for the 5050 ti

    • Holding out for me instead.

    Hodling out for a 9090!

    • Ti is better

    I am HODLING FOREVER!

  • +1

I've HODLed through the end of time and through the new big bang!

  • How much faster is this in raster gaming vs a 7900 GRE?

  • Is it worth upgrading from a 3060 to this? Or would a 4070 ti suffice?

I am currently on a UW 1440p monitor.

    • +1

Ti would be more than enough but even Super would be ok too. Still if you can skip this gen and see what next one holds.. unless you are really struggling with the 3060 (i have one but not in my main rig and it's ok with DLSS etc works well enough).

      • +1

I have thought about skipping this gen but with rumours of the 5000 being no cheaper than this gen I have my doubts.

        • Wait, a newer generation even if the price is the same will definitely be a better choice.

        • Yeh the price is definitely not going to go backwards but we can hope that what your getting for the amount you pay is a lot better than this gen was.

    1.2k for 16GB of VRAM? That's cooked.

    • Yep, 3070 is more than enough for my 4K. I use Dell U3223qe, mainly for office use. 3070 is good for fixed 60fps of casual AAA gaming. I may even skip 50 series :)
