Terms and conditions

Your Gift Card can only be used on www.thehotelcard.com.au. The card is non re- loadable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Transactions exceeding the available balance on this card will require the difference to be paid by another method. The card cannot be used in person within a hotel or venue and must be used online. We will accept the Gift Card in accordance with these Terms of Use and any applicable law and subject always to our trading terms.

If you make a booking to redeem your Gift Card you will be advised if the booking is ‘non-refundable or able to be cancelled. You will be advised of the date which you have to be able to cancel the booking. To cancel a booking before the non refundable date you must go to www.thehotelcard.com.au , login and go to your bookings where you will see a cancellation option. If you cancel your booking and change your mind you will need to rebook. The Holiday & Hotel Card cannot guarantee that the same room at the same price will be available. Once the booking passes the non refundable date or you book a non refundable room you cannot cancel your booking and no refunds will be provided.

Any refunds for cancelled bookings will be refunded back onto a Holiday & Hotel Gift Card.

    I checked a couple of hotels and found their rates were significantly higher than places like Booking… will pretty much negate any savings instantly

    I bought one and found the rates higher and also the selection is very narrow.
    Ended up just using it in the end for a stopover for overnight accommodation.

    I checked gift card terms and conditions and you can only redeem maximum of $500 per booking in gift cards so can't purchase multiple gift cards to pay for one booking….useless.
