Warranty should be fine after Godreys closes, as moonah has reached out to bissell and got confirmation that warranty will be honored

I enquired directly with Bissell about this and they stated that they would uphold the warranty if purchased through Godfreys.

    Could maybe try pricematch at another store? Im not too familiar with which stores pricematch / stock the same item in australia however it may be an option

      Nobody is willing to price match godfeys as they're viewed as a dead man walking. I tried price matching a different item at the good guys and they said no can do.

  How frequently do you shampoo your carpet that it makes sense to own and store one of these? Isn't it better to just hire one occasionally?

    For us we have a few properties which need carpet washes between tenants, much easier and less stressful to use our own one then to worry about rental fees and rental times.
    Other than that we do wash the carpets at homes decently regularly due to young kids making a big mess in carpets with spills and whatnot

    Should be worth it for anyone who cleans their carpet at least 2 times a year. Also has the convenience of being able to do rooms over several days instead of having to do the whole house within the hired time period.

    We do our floors every 3-4 months. I also do it in stages, so I don't have to spend an entire day doing the house-I can do 1hr here, 1hr there whenever I have time. I also do some rooms by halves so my kid has a dry area to play on.

    My wife is also a clean freak who just hates the thought of where rental cleaners have been. At least with our own cleaner it's our own filth haha

    Our machine (non steaming) has also been an absolute godsend once we had a child. Easy to clean up wee/poo/food/whatever ends up on the floor.
