This is doing the rounds on various forums, might not be directly helpful for ozbs, but their friends/relatives in Europe merely need a quick hop over the Mediterranean to take advantage of this incredible fare on Lufthansa/Asiana.

Note, will want to wait a week or so after booking to make sure it actually is honoured.

    Just be mindful that an Algerian visa may be relatively difficult to obtain (for AUS passport holders). I've heard of several rejections previously.

      Russ Cook (the man that ran the entire length of Africa) had a nightmare getting the Algerian visa on his British passport.

      Can apparently originate in Tunisia for this fare as well, which should be easier to arrange a visa for.

    Remedial geography lesson for rep. Algiers is not in Tunisia, although historically Tunisia was ruled by the Ottoman in Algiers.
