Do you know if these can be played on AU DVD players? Thanks.
They would be region 2 DVDs, whereas Australia is in Region 4, so if you have a region-locked DVD player, they won't work.
However, the vast majority of DVD players sold in Australia are region-free, or can be made region-free with an unlock code, so they will most likely work. You'll have to look up whether your specific model is region-free or not.

Why are Doctor Who DVDs always so overpriced?
Most BBC produced things are.
Although in the last 2-3 years they've been improving.
General rule is that if it's from the BBC, try amazon uk as they usually have it for half the price Aus stores sell it for
Probably cos' the Beeb have to make their $$$ somewhere. I'm guessing DW is right up there with the likes of Top Gear when it comes to ratings on Channel BT… ;)
