POCO X6 Pro at a pretty decent price. Has all the bands needed for Australian networks. Should get 3 Android version updates and 4 years of security updates. If you choose to order in AUD for whatever reason, I found that OUTDOOR30 is $2 cheaper than AED239

  • 6.67" 1220x2712 AMOLED 120HZ Display
  • 8GB + 256GB

      • Though it can be 'faked', Is it sealed? Comes with the original ROM?

  • and yes VoWifi and Volte work on Telstra OOTB

  • Prefer to wait for F6 for proper custom rums

    • +4

Yeah, I heard you get custom drinks served to you if you buy an F6.

    • Yeah MTK doesn't get that much community support

  • This or Redmi Note 13 pro+ (12/256 Global ROM) with the same discount code that can be used for both phone?

    • The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is a Chinese model so unless you're using Vodafone you're gonna have signal issues. Even with the global ROM flashed you may not get OTA updates

      • How do you check that unless Vodafone you will have signal issues?
I'm in NZ and thinking of buying this. Don't know if I need to take risk buying it or buy the poco x6.

        • Just buy a global unit it's not worth the hassle

        • Scroll down in the product page until you see a list of what mobile bands the phone supports.

Then cross check them against what mobile bands Australian telcos use.

          https://www.google.com/search?q=australia+mobile+bands

Ignore anything to do with 2G and 3G. The former is long gone, the latter will be gone soon. Focus on the lists for 4G and 5G.

I would disagree with @iPodVideo's suggestion that simply buying something labelled as "global" as sufficient research for or against supporting the right mobile bands. You should do the work yourself and cross check. It's not that difficult.

  • This or the Nothing 2a?

  • I found this at USD $255. With coupon AED239 and GST it ends up with US $253.53.

thanks, bought through the link cost 253.39 USD in 396.17 AUD

  • would google pay work with this phone? i.e. running non China version roms?

i assume the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ would not have google pay. used to have a Note 11 Pro that did not have google pay/wallet :(

    • Should work since its a global unit

    • 100% works. I use it virtually daily with my CC. Mine is global version and not discovered any issues to date with the whole phone experience

  • could someone confirm if the 12GB 512GB in the same listing is the same model with only diff being higher ram and storage. Thinking it's worth for the extra $29USD

    • Yes, same model

      • great, thank you!

    Does it have google pay?

  • Just bought same model from Aliexpress for $406.78 using the latest round of coupon code. Even cheaper now
