SL60D vacuum (2023 model, 4000pa suction)
Missed the last deal and then found this. Seems popular on here for people who do not want to spend $1000+ on a robot vacuum

I got the SL60 Plus recently so I am happy to answer any question on this vacuum cleaner (which is almost identical to SL60 Plus minus dust collection station).

    • How is the performance comparing with other top tier bot?
Any good with sl60d vs sl60d plus?

      • I do not have any other robovacs, however, I am quite satisfied with the sweeping on SL60 Plus. The multi-floor mapping and location is flawless.

        • Is it sl60plus or sl60d plus?

        • Thank you. And also how is auto empty docker?

          • @hishaken: Auto empty and docking work well but if the vacuum itself gets too full it does struggle emptying into the dock due to clogging itself with fluff. So, make sure to let it empty itself each time.

            • @OldSchoolHarry: How do you set it up so that it empties itself? I realise mine only empties it when i tell it to go back to recharge rather than stopping half way through a clean

              • @abe465: It will empty after each clean, there’s a setting for it

    • how it deals with rugs? ( I have IKEA rug if it helps). does it climbs or avoid?

      • +2

I have used it mostly on hard floors but it handles medium pile rugs very well too with auto boost of suction.

    • One issue I have with the SL60, is the water container is so small

How’s the battery and charging time? On the last post, people have complained it takes an overly long time to charge and the battery depletes quickly. EBay is offering and $100 voucher for you to keep the vac rather than return it. That’s what I’ll be doing when I receive mine.

Still $239.20 on the eBay store deal

    • Yep just checked and it's in stock and ready to go.

    • Shame they haven't got more stock of the one with the auto empty dock back in

      • +2

You can get the auto-empty dock separately. I bought the SL60D and added the dock separately for a total of $397 at Amazon last week.

        • I did this too, but on Ebay, $388.

Have you had a chance to use it yet? How do you find the mopping function?

          • @Quantico: It's arriving early this week. Won't be using it as it's going to be a gift for the MIL.

  • They should really put in some good deals on their own website. Doesn't make sense to offer better deals on external sites like Amazon and eBay when ultimately you want people to buy direct from your own website

    • +1

Especially since they can say they have AU stock and ship straight from the Amazon warehouse. Though I'm not sure if the fee is higher if they ship direct from the warehouse when someone orders on another platform than Amazon.

Amazon t&cs usually forbid you from listing it cheaper anywhere else - including your own store

This mops surface floor stains fine and navigates with grace. Downside is low capacity water tank which is 250ml I think

    Any good stick vacuum option?

I would not recommend getting this vacuum cleaner, from my personal experience. It works very well for a while until it develops a very annoying glitch. It essentially just combines a bunch of rooms into one long room every now and then and you have to reset the map in order to fix this issue. I've factory reset it and it doesn't matter. Every now and then just randomly it'll combine a bunch of rooms into one long weird room and it won't vacuum properly. It's a known issue but one they yet haven't fixed.

    • Just a question… are you running these vacuums in low light conditions eg before opening your curtains in the morning?

    • Did you map correctly?

    • Have you saved the map? Can't you just reload it as current map?

      • Answering all the questions here. The lights are on, not low light as all the rooms are brightly lit with LED lights and I've had a previous vacuum that never had this issue. Yes I have mapped correctly, I let it auto map whenever it gets this issue back. I have saved the map and you can just reload the map however, the issue persists. It's very random, sometimes the issue will come back straight away even after reloading the current map and other times it will take maybe days for it to have the same issue again. It's a very annoying glitch because you just never know when it'll vacuum the house properly until you open the map and you see it's corrupted the map yet again.

    • I purchased the SL60 a few months ago when it was on special and had this issue once. I later realised that this happened when it was low light conditions. Other than that I've been using it on a schedule of 3 times per week and the only issue I've had is where it ate a usb cable which it notified me of. For the price and quality of cleaning/mopping it's hard to beat imo.

eBay got same one for $239.2 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/354836199638

  • SL68 for 240 on ebay, whats the differences

    • SL68:
      - can't use the dock.
      - has woffle design elements… mo'plastic.
      - says 3 in 1 vs 2 in 1 for the SL60D… supposedly the 3 is a brush function, which I guess means it will brush then you have to sweep it up.
      - 4500PA suction… so probably 2250 vs 2000.

My Gen1 Roborock is still working after 50,000kms of cleaning… gets stuck on everything.

      • My Gen 1 Xiaomi (Roborock) is still working too. Most annoying thing it does is trying to climb our table legs - hopefully something with more up-to-date object avoidance wouldn't do that.

According to the app ours has cleaned 42000 m² but I don't know if that reset when I changed phones.

        • The count is on device.
          892h
          48k m2
          1324 cleaned up

          Not bad.

It has a larger model number , so it must be better .
    By at least 8 ..

  • Anyone bought this and gets really poor battery life 19mins in and ours is 50% battery drained

    • No, mine is definitely lasting a lot longer than that at standard suction. I can get about 90 minutes on standard suction and maybe more on Eco mode.

      • Thanks for letting us know ours looks to be faulty

  • I have this robovac and it does a fine job for keeping the the dust and dirt down with 3 kids and 2 dogs dragging crap in all the time. I'm happy for the price.

  • New to robovac world, Got this one delivered today and initial impression is great. How do people handle 2 story houses though, get a separate cleaner for each floors or manually take the robovac upstairs to clean?

  • Just got mine delivered today. The brush is tiny (short) compared to my gen 1 Xiaomi, I assume this thing is going to be doing around 50% more distance to cover the same area.

  • Got mine to do its first map and vacuum.Im impressed with the vacuum but the map is a mess. It looks like it's duplicated over the initial map and there are areas outside the house showing on the map. I haven't figured out how to delete the map yet
