  • Single brush though! SD60L has 2 brushes but lower suction.

    • Which one is better. Two brushes vs more suction power?

      • +1

Two brushes seems to be the popular choice so far.

      • The SL68 only has single side brush too, it seems like all their new models only have one brush now.

      • +2

Suction on my SD60L has been sufficient for everything so far

  • Would the extra brush on the SD60L be better for carpet? Or does suction make a bigger difference?

    • +2

I think the higher suction might make a difference for carpets.

    • +1

The underside roller is for carpet and is near the suction inlet. The side brush is next to useless on carpet / rugs. The side brush has no lifting or fluffing ability. The side brush is rather weak and mainly used for corners, crevices and moving loose dirt on solid floors in front of the robot so the main suction inlet takes it up. You'll find the main underside roller is what gets all wound up with long hair etc that needs to be cleaned well with the little cutter tool.

  • Any vac with no mop function?

    • +1

Don’t fit the mop and turn it off in the settings

    • +1
      • Dont install the mop pad
      • Set the rooms after mapping to be 0 water level
      • Get the larger dust bin which doesn't have mop
      • Is the larger dust bin an additional accessory that can be purchased separately?

        • +2

          @Rebsphere yes it's purchased separately.

I got it for the previous model so best confirm that it will fit this model too if you're planning on getting this one.

          • @Chinerama: Do you mean the docking station when you say larger dustbin?

            • @teadonna: @teadonna no. I meant the dust box that slots into the vacuum itself.

We tried that and realised we did not need the docking station as the larger dust box meant that we only needed to empty it once after each vacuum.

If we still needed to empty it a few times each vacuum with the bigger dust box then we may have considered the docking station.

Our vacuum area that fills up one large dust box for us has 2 bedrooms, a living area, a dining area, hallway, kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Also has a dog, a cat and a human shedding hair. Vacuum comes on about twice a week.

Oh… Even if you don't have to empty the dust box when you use a docking station, you will probably still need to clean the filters and remove hair on the roller regularly. I do it after each vacuum. So that makes the docking station even less relevant for our use case.

Hope the above helps to give an idea if just a larger dust box is sufficient or you need a docking station.

        • 600ML dust box lubluelu SL60D & SL60 Plus Robot Vacuum's Dust Box
          Regular price $35.99

The larger dust box only got me most interested in their range. Would be good if it does fit, will send them a question

          • @camshandez: Note that the larger dust container isn't compatible with the auto-empty dock

  • +1

Ordered. Cheers. Moved in to my new house at the start of the year & been wanting to get one for a while. Seems like a good deal.

  • Does this work with the auto empty dock?, and its own larger dust bin that also works with the dock?

    • Have asked support about it, hoping to get an answer soon so that i can buy it from their ebay store.

    • The comparison table at the bottom says it does

      https://lubluelu.com/products/lubluelu-l20-5500pa-robotic-va…

    • +1

From Support: Re compatible with dock stations.

Thanks for your interest in our L20. But both the SD80 or SD85 are not compatible with the L20.

Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you once again for choosing us.

      • Maybe they have a larger dust box that’s compatible with this and you can just delete the mopping function while you’re at it .

        • That’s what I was hoping but when you look at the larger dust box it states it’s not compatible with the L20. Confusing!

          • @oO0Dam0Oo: Do you mean the little dust box that you can remove from the actual vacuum
            or
are you talking about the auto empty dock that recharges?

            • @beach bum: Looks like neither are compatible at this time. Customer service state that the auto emptying docks (SD80; SD85) are not compatible with this vacuum (L20).

Then the website states 1. lubluelu 600ML dust box is compatible with lubluelu SL60D & SL60 Plus robot vacuum cleaner. 2. It's not compatible with the SD80 or SD85 Auto Empty Station.

But then the comparison table says it is compatible with the auto emptying docks (SD80; SD85) with "need to change the water tank to adapt". But which "water tank". I've no idea.

              • @oO0Dam0Oo: Despite the above I have a feeling they are somewhat not really maybe compatible.

                • @oO0Dam0Oo: I’m getting the same vibe , a bit like when them started claiming the suction had increased despite nothing on the packaging to confirm this .
Everyone seems to have good things to say about them otherwise except a few battery failures .

    • I asked Lubluelu support. They don't have an auto empty dock/station compatible with the L20 as of yet.

  • does this automatically adjust from carpet to tile/hardfloor? Thinking of getting one for the second floor of our house but its a mix of carpet and tile for the bathrooms. Cant seem to find any clear answers on the product page.

    • +1

One of the pictures on the product page shows that it has "Auto Carpet Boosting Technology". So hopefully that will detect the carpet automatically.

      • Ironically it shows less suction on the carpet than the hard floor 🤣

  • Damn. Awaiting delivery of SL60D from that eBay deal and the release this one!
Kinda want this one instead, seems much improved except 2nd brush. Would have to pay return postage which would be hefty on it

    • +1

The sl60d has the auto cleaning which I don't think this one has. I bought from the ebay deal last week and works fine. Thinking now to get this one as well for up stairs.

    • I got an SL60D when it was $209 last year on ebay, the only issues I've had with it was the vacuum eating usb cables every now and then which is my own fault. Also messing up the map because I didn't realise it doesn't work at night/low light lol.

Other than that it vacuums better than my Dyson V6, especially the carpet.

The biggest let down on the SL60D IMO is the dust bin capacity.

  • +1

i wish i got my cleaner from amazon, the return of the SL60D Plus from ebay is a complete nightmare.

  • Yeah this sounds way better than sl60d I'm going to return mine as ours has a faulty battery this one is saying battery life is almost one hour longer worth a try. Double sweeping really won't be that big of a difference especially when this has way more suction power.

    • +1

The above link that's has a chart states difference is only 10mins. Or do you mean with your faulty battery.

      • abit of both but also on amazon the battery run time is advertised as alot more on this one and has a bigger dust box capacity

  • Anyone been able to integrate a Lubluelu vac in Home Assistant using Tuya/Smart Life?

    • +1

Interested in knowing this too, a brief Google isn't conclusive

    • Yes. Its easy. Google it

    • Yes, I got the L20 just this week and easily got it going through the cloud Tuya integration (ie not the Local Tuya one). You don't get a map in HA but you get controls and can add automations, etc.

      https://ibb.co/JHTVssf

I hoped the Tuya map extraction integration via HACS would work also, but it doesn't yet, at least not for me.

      • Awesome. Are you happy with the L20? I see in your pic it says it's docked, is that the normal charging dock?

        • Yeah, happy so far, though have only had it 4 days! Editing the maps and dividing rooms is a bit fiddly, but I don't know if any of the other apps are any better. For less than $300 I definitely can't complain. It certainly leaves the carpet and the tiles looking clean.

And yep, just the charging dock that came with it. I may use some.double sided tape to stick it to the skirting as I presume you don't want it moving, getting kicked, etc.

  • +2

I mean, it cleans ceilings too, what can you ask more? https://lubluelu.com/cdn/shop/files/3_b5a18933-0a83-4da1-ac8…

    • It cleans ceilings, but only in the southern hemisphere

  • Promo code is not working for me. It was on the product when i first opened. Tried to apply manually in the checkout, didn't work.

    • Me too, the code was there this morning but is gone now

      • Was about to pull the trigger.

  • -2

Have to be a fool to not buy the one with 2 arms.

    • The arms are only for corners. Only need to attack one corner at a time so anymore than one is likely unnecessary.

      • I stand corrected but I've seen it clean spilt frozen peas with two arms and it was a thing of beauty

  • New code available again.
Is this model compatible with the cleaning deck?
