140 x Cetrelief Tablets (Hayfever Treatment), 10mg Cetirizine $16.99 Delivered @ PharmacySavings

Hi Ozbargainers,

I hope you all enjoyed a day of rest remembering those who've allowed us to live in such a free and wonderful country. It's always been a bit of a mixed day of feelings in my family as pretty much all of my ancestors at one time fought against Australians. Yet today I am welcomed to stand next to relatives of those who died for Australia and I find myself here enjoying the life their ancestors fought for. Given the large number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen Aussies from many nations (who probably account significant proportion of the population) not sure if the feelings are the same.

Anyway I was contacted a week or so ago by my friendly rep at Pharmacy Action, they seem to have noticed we're selling zillions of boxes of Dr Reddy's hayfever medications and far, far less Pharmacy Action product. I know there are many Ozbargainers who prefer Pharmacy Action over other generics so when talking to the rep they've temporarily reduced my pricing on Cetrelief, Cetirizine 10mg. I know many folks who frequently buy from me will only buy this brand, so I've knocked my pricing down on this line to match the price offer I received for this batch of medicine.

For the hardcore bargain hunters - before you smack me down, I acknowledge this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/834351 has a lower per tab cost, but for Pharmacy Action, from my research I think this is the best price around (delivered) and this deal also ticks the boxes of being a slightly lower quantity and also a brand some prefer. If it sells in volume, I can probably buy more at this price and keep the deal running, if it's a slow seller - like many other of my deals, once the stock is gone so is the deal!

  • Timing couldn't have been any better, have ordered some!

  • What is (if any) difference between this as the Dr Reddy's?

    • I want to know too - I know active ingredients are all the same but why people prefer this

      • +4

Same reason some people prefer to pay $75.98 for 140x Zyrtec from Chemist Warehouse. Personal preference - some folks perceive its better quality, made in a factory with cleaner floors, delivered by a man with better groomed mustache. Reality is, it all contains 10mg Cetirizine and it's all got TGA approval for sale in Australia.

        • Thanks for the quick and honest response. I'm almost through my supply of this I bought from you a while ago, so good chance to top up

        • Well, both Dr. Reddy's and Lupin (behind Cetrelief) manufacture in India and have had FDA findings against them. Zyrtec is made in Switzerland to European standards.

        • … delivered by a man with better groomed mustache.

Last time, he even offered to clean the pool, too!

Hey, is there currently a delay in shipping? Ordered 14 April and still haven't received. Normally I have by now.

Howdy, if you ordered on the 14th the item has only been in the postal system for 7 working days,10 working days is typical delivery - depending on your location may be around 15 working days. Aust Post now delivering only every 2nd day which makes things much, much slower for some.

      • All good, will keep an eye out for it. Appreciate the update!

  • Thanks, great timing.

  • Still waiting on a order from the 28th of March. Should I message you the order number Jason?

  • Thanks. Just ordered.

  • Why are you asking for a tip during checkout? Who does the tip money go to?

    • The tip goes straight back to the merchant. It’s a chance for you to say ‘thank you’ for the amazing deal and helps to increase their margin on the already (very) slim profit they make on deals like this. If they make even a bit more on each sale they’re more likely to keep the deals coming.

I always tip whenever purchasing from Jason. I figure it may only cost me an extra dollar or so, but if that means he keeps the awesome deals coming then it’s money well-spent.

  • Thanks Jason I am still waiting for my order placed on 3rd march and replacement item on 5th April
How long we need to wait ?

To be fair - you emailed me the same question, why the need to post it on a public forum. The 1st item which never arrived by your account was replaced at my expense and this replacement was sent 14 working days ago - I have reconfirmed your address with you to ensure the address posted was correct, the chance of 2x items getting lost to the same client is very rare. Per the email reply, please hang in there.

      • Himlord didn't like my email or public reply and opened a chargeback, with my only options (after posting the item twice) are "provide tracking" or "settle dispute", clearly its hard to provide tracking on items shipped using non trackable post - users like this make me lose faith in humanity.

Very dodgy practices. OP opens up each sealed box of tablets and flattens the box and spreads the contents out inside the padded bag so they can get away with sending them as a large letter instead of as a parcel (Large letters need to be below 20mm in thicknesses)

I understand this is a cost saving measure… but definitely not appropriate or ethical, especially when its pharmaceuticals that even have a tamper seal on them.

Howdy, various postage methods are available at checkout, if you choose flat pack envelope shipping where it is stated the items will be inserted into an envelope as a flat pack, this is how we will send. I am not sure how being upset with us for the postage method you’ve select as a client is reasonable grounds for a neg?

If you select satchel dispatch, the boxes will remain intact and will post in a satchel.

The savings made are passed on to you as the buyer and we are transparent about the postage methodology stated in the listing.
      .
There is no security seal on this item, there is a piece of tape (non security type) which is cut to facilitate flat packing where this postage method is selected by the client. There is nothing dodgey or unethical in these practices, all retail boxes which contain warning and usage instructions are provided with all medications.
