    • Use compare the market via topcashback. Gives $110 back and no price inflation.

      • Only on topcashback?

      • Only compares a selection of brands from the same underwriter. Definitely doesn't compare the "market"

  • Where did you find this expiration date from? Is there anywhere we can see the T&Cs?

  • Works for third party insurances too with the same code and same 24k points fyi, plz update the title and description OP Cheers

Please read reviews about Everyday insurance before doing this. Woolworths just outsources to another provider and gets a cut when you sign up. If you make a claim you’re likely to be in for a bad experience. They have an overseas call centre with people that don’t know what they’re doing and you’ll wait forever trying to get through to a person.

There’s always a reason why something is cheaper. Just go with a local insurer with local support

    • +1

I don't think this is unique to Woolworths. Who are these "local" insurers we should be using?

      • RAC/V/Q are local and not for profit

        • Maybe locally owned but I found this:

"When in late 2016 the Insurance Australia Group (IAG) announced their decision to move their call centres offshore there was a fierce backlash from angry customers.

With IAG including insurance brands such as NRMA, CGU and RACV, it wasn’t difficult to find just how angry their customers were about the decision."

    • We used them when uninsured person wrote off our car with Third Party Property insurance only. No issues at all.

  • Hey Guys does the CAR24K still work as my insurance is due early next month ?

    • +1

Just used it, CAR24K still working

      • Thank You :)

  • Still working used today.

    • Thanks
My renewal with them is cheaper than using CAR24K just checked now taking into account the $120 I would receive.

      • +1

It's always good to check multiple ways, I have a shitty 2000 toyota just want 3rd party for Auspost renewal was like $900 this was 350 + 24k points.

        • "$350 + 24k points"
          Sounds great :)

  • Code still working today.

  • code working.
    will update if points received.

(existing customer, cancelled policy and reapplied with new email) (if tied to rewards acc, gg)

    • Can use same email. I have an online account with Woollies Insurance. I cancel old policy, take out new one and add it to my account.

Has anyone received their 24k points?

    • 2k points is given out monthly. Have received 2k each month since signing up few months ago.

  • This is still working, got the quote but will pay on 31st july as policy have to start from 1aug, have been using this car insurance since they started in 2018 or 2019 cant remeber now, before they use to send gift cards, then this point system started and each year i get this points., even claimed insurance once in 2020 i think, didnt had any problem calming. after that never had any accident, but only issue is each year i have to choose less km for "drive less pay less" and also my agreed value of car is reducing which is no problem i guess, to bring back the cost of insurance to $550 approx. but still feels worth it.

  • Worked today and was same price with or without promo code which was good.

    • In what stage I can enter this code ? I went all the way to the payment page but it didn’t ask for the promo code

  • Both CAR18K and CAR24K codes no longer working.

    • They work. I just put it in and it said "code accepted" and then when I looked at the total it had "Get up to 24,000 Everyday Rewards" under it.

      • Sounds like it may either be a glitch or targeted as I got the error as soon as I entered the codes.

        • Are you trying to claim it again or is this your first time? Maybe it has something to do with that?

          • @pikapika: I just did a new quote last night and the code was working for me again.

Just worked for me. When I click on the terms it says this :

    • In what stage you put this code in? Didn't ask me for promo code

      • @Aminn If I can remember correctly, the place to enter the promo code is on the page right before the car quote is generated.

        • Tnx
          Ill give it another try

          • @Aminn: Not working for me today. Did it for you? Years ago I called them and they added the code.

            • @chrisharry53: No luck here, Im thinking to do the same

              • +3

@Aminn: I just noticed I got the quote emailed to me. When I clicked on retrieve quote the 24000k points were in the quote. Perhaps it recognised the rewards card being attached to the email account. Try that.

Also, I choose lower km than what will be driven. It means you need to keep a track during the year and buy more as required. Works out cheaper than up front eg policy start 9/23 and bought 3000km for $44 31/03/24. Then another 3 for $12 31/7. Up front is about $30 or more for every 1000km.

                • +1

@chrisharry53: Thanks for that info @chrisharry53, about to pull the trigger on WW car insurance and will definitely lower my KM's and buy more as needed down the track.

  • Still working, just used it

  • This is awesome. CAR24K working as of 30/9.

  • CAR24k working as of 09.10

  • wowza, did a quote and it is double what I am paying now. thx but no thx

  • Found this to be dodgy as. Last few months I haven't been getting my extra points at all.

    • Contact them and they will correct it :)

  • Code still works.

  • +1

CAR24k is still working as of 15/02.

  • +1

CAR24K is still working as of 01-03-25

  • As most people mention, it's nearly a luck of the draw if your car will be quoted a cheap/expensive car insurance for each provider - so I won't comment on that.

However, what I found more useful was that you're offered 1 year of Roadside Assistance for $88 to add to your car insurance. The price isn't anything to write home about (compared to Budget Direct's ~$76/yr) but the crucial part for me was that there's very lax exclusions on your car condition. E.g, Budget Direct doesn't allow you to sign up for roadside assist if your odometer is over 250k. Nothing like that here with Everyday Roadside Assist.

Roadside assist is provided by Digicall Assist, which I've never heard of but reviews seem good enough to give it a shot!

Still works, cheaper quote on my car but I did the drive less pay less thing because I do less than 5000 km a year in this car.

Can anyone confirm if you get 10% off twice with woolworths mobile?

    • No just one 10% off for Insurance and Mobile etc. The only way to get a second 10% off is to join Everyday Extra at a cost of $7 pm or $70 annual fee. They do offer a 30 day trial and often have half price deals which are often notified on this site so maybe keep an eye out for the next one.

  • if i add another car with the car24k code … do i get another $120 off deal?

  • If you really want the yearly price low… try making the excess high as possible and the km driven low as possible (there's a fee of up to $2k if there's an event and you drove more). Halved my cost. If you're worried about the excess, just make the agreed value of the car higher (to cover the increased excess lol)

Shouldn't really post this strat… as if everyone did it, it'd stop working I think lol.

    • +1

It'll stop working when you go to try and make a claim apparently.

Had this exact discussion on a facebook group recently as I asked the implications of what you're suggesting, in my opinion it is a "game" or risk as if we drove over the kms we have to pay the additional excess.
Other group members in the insurance industry suggested that by putting kilometers far lower than we intend to drive that we are not being honest/truthful and it would be grounds to decline a claim. When you purchase it says you must answer truthfully etc. so since it would be easy to establish you are going to drive more than 2000kms they would deny it. I imagine they might ask for service records showing low kms travelled or maybe in other states they can check your yearly car safety check records?

In practice mine listed at the lower side of my predicted kms but far higher than the 2k minimum

  • +3

got a quote for $3.2k vs my current Budget direct $1.6k annual haha no thanks woolies

  • Cheapest policy to churn points? Edit: quick test got it down to $40/mo, if you only need to hold it one month this is worth it

  • Yeh not worth it for me as my WW quote came to $2500
    And my renewal is $1400

  • I just got a car insurance with them a few days ago.
Anyone bought insurance from them before and had them apply the code afterwards before the cooling off period ends?

  • just checking, incase if i opt all these, can i use 10% offer 4 times every month?
    1- everyday extra - 10%
    2- home insurance - 10%
    3- car insurance - 10%
    4- mobile - 10%

    • I confirm 10% from mobile and from everyday extra can be used separately each month. Not sure of rest

  • my renewal is coming up in few days..any suggestions to go for car in Melbourne?
    1. Budget direct
    2. Woolworths
    3. Coles
    4. Qantas

  • The quote is $400 per year more than my current AAMI renewal.

  • That's ~2x of other insurance provider for a new car.

Any suggestion of other providers for NSW driver?

  • Quoted me $5000+ a year while the quote I got from NRMA last month was $1500 lol.

  • Does anyone know if CAR24K still works with the same everyday rewards account if I've used it before? E.g. I have everyday insurance at the moment and it's due for renewal, can I get a quote and make sure it's same as the renewal, then cancel on the day before renewal date and immediately take up the quote and get the points?

    • +1

Yep, no problem using the same account for a new policy on the same car.

  • I had a policy on May 2024 and got the first 2000 points in June (45 days after policy start). I was expecting this to continue until May this year but it looks like they stopped paying after my policy expired on May 20th - my last credit was in April.

Anyone else had similar? Maybe they think you will forget!
