60% off Comocean Beach Tents @ Anaconda ($16 to $52, Free Metro Delivery)

60

I went to Anaconda on Saturday to look for beach tents and was delighted to find the Comocean on sale for 60% off.

I got the Fin Sunshade and used it yesterday, easy to prop up and take down, the window was nice as well. Two of the poles kept collapsing when a big gust (30km/h) came through, but it was easy to put back up again and if I sat where the wind was blowing it didn't fall.

Sei Sunshade - $16
Windshelter - $22
Tri Sun Shelter - $30
Ginko Sunshade - $32
Humpback Sunshade - $48
Fin Sunshade - $52

Just found out you can have it delivered for free in metropolitan areas. I tried Blackheath, NSW 2785 and delivery was $14.52.

  • Pity to hear even the most expensive one collapses pretty easily in the wind - that's my biggest issue with these things, they keep getting blown over.

I guess if it doesn't collapse it might become airborne which could create a lot of other issues :)

    • Yeah, I thought the expensive one with the sturdy looking poles could withstand strong winds, but alas I was proven wrong :(

I was thinking next time I'm on the beach to tie a roped around the two poles and peg to the sand like this http://i.imgur.com/T2bXu.png. I hope it works!

      • a reef knot would be better.

        • A taut-line hitch would be more useful.

  • I'm tempted to say this should be in the forums.
Isn't "60% off" just the normal price for house-brand goods at Anaconda? They do this all the time. It is similar price now to Ray's Outdoors, etc.

Their regular prices are an absolute joke.

    • agreed, if you ever pay full price on a house at anaconda you are getting ripped off.
Anaconda's RRP on those aluminium coloured water bottles is around $16ish. They pay less than $2 for one.

    • Oh! I didn't know Comocean was their house brand. Still cheaper than Ray's so I guess it's OK to stay =)
