I was just looking for some new sunglasses when I stumbled across this code online. Gave it a shot, and it worked. Can't see any mention of it on their site though or any expiry date, but definitely worked for me just now.

I purchsed a pair of sunglasses for $19.95 (sure there would be cheaper items), input the code, and automatically got a pair of Perv glasses added for free valued at $39.95.

To get FREE delivery, purchase must be over $10….

Woot!

EDIT: Looks like this no longer works. I just took delivery of my sunnies, with no extra charge. Looks like they have fixed their glitch, but honoured my sale. Hope everyone else did ok. :)

    As soon as I saw "Perv" Sunglasses, I instantly thought they'd be an intricately designed pair of glasses you can use to ogle unsuspecting beautiful people on the beach (as per the photo in the link).

    Man I always miss out on these deals! They've fixed it up so you need tspend more than $50 before you get the sunnies for free now. If your order is under $50 then the $39.95 will be included in yoru price. The stuff on there is a friggen ripoff so not even sure if it's worth it spending $50 to get a free pair of crappy sunnies.

    Heads-up, this is interesting…just got a shipping confirmation but the invoice total is significantly ($39.95) higher than the $11.99 invoice I originally paid on my CC.

    Now, to my surprise I'm seeing a pending debit on my CC account for the full price of the sunnies ($39.95)??? I can smell a chargeback coming on…lucky I printed a copy of the original invoice!!! :o

    Keep an eye on your accounts guys, just sayin'…

    I ordered last night and paid with paypal. I've received no confirmation mail from surfstitch for my order, very disappointing. Paypal went through at $11.99, which was for my socks, so at least I won't be charged $39.95 like Stew above.

        Even with paypal? I thought that would need a second approval as you need to approve sending them money rather than if using a credit card where they can just charge your card again.

        There is certainly no way I would pay $39.95 for these glasses after reading the reviews for them, they appear to break very easily.

          I didn't use Paypal this time. Perhaps I should have though, as the process for them lodging a second debit would indeed have been more convoluted as you said.

          Agreed, no way I'd pay $39.95 for these…nor will I. I have a legit invoice from them for $11.99 with their own promo code for the free glasses. If they don't reverse it, I'll just do a chargeback & they can pay the fees! ;)

    Disgusting, they charged the $39.95

    You have to call up to get the refund.

    "The onus is on the customer to ring up. The deal was changed overnight as there was a mistake with minimum spend. If you don't call up, the invoice for the sunglasses will automatically switch from $0 to $39.95"

    I've got a pending transaction on my credit card currently for $54.95

    Shonky business practices…Neg

    Update: Home for lunch so I could use their live chat, no joy with email.

    They apologised for the mix-up, they are apparently going to refund the $39.95…they didn't even try to pull the act that dvd107 described above…I think they're probably getting bombarded by angry OzB'ers with the same issue! :p

      Just got out of chat with them after I noticed the higher amount on my shipping confirmation. First response that I got was that the promo required a $50 minimum spend so I had been billed for the sunglasses. They said I could get a refund after I returned the sunglasses.

      Later they said it was a system error and would refund the additional charge. After that they also said …

      ' - once the code has changed to include a minimum spend any orders placed earlier in the day were automatically charged the second amount by our payment system which is why they appear as two separate charges'

      and they said all the additional charges on all the affected orders are being corrected this afternoon. They said they are currently compiling the list of orders to be corrected.

      I just spoke to an online chat person, who told me they were sorting this out, as they have received many complaints. I got told straight up I would get a refund, no questions asked.

      They know you have an invoice of such and such amount, so no real point in them fighting it.

      Let the refund waiting game begin..

    I made an order but got charged the 39.95 for the sunnies too. Paid with the credit card and it was pending, but it has cleared today and I have been charged but then been refunded. Should be the same with everyone else that got charged.
