JB Hi-Fi currently has it for $229 (+ delivery) ($100 off JB's RRP of $329, though you can quite commonly find this at online retailers for around $270).

Compared to the Corsair K70 CORE, this doesn't seem to have any common issue such as the CORE's double typing problem:

One thing to note is that as the page explaining OPX points out, it's got a noticably shorter actuation distance compared to typical mechanical keyboards. I would expect some people to find it way too sensitive and too easy to mistype keys as a result.

IMO, a $3 saving is not really a deal.
If it was $30, then yes, maybe.

Ehhh… The Amazon price is an additional $3 off JB Hi-Fi's price, which itself is $100 off JB's normal retail price for this. And $70 off the usual prices of Umart/MSY, based on the listings posted by BargainWizard.

I mentioned JB Hi-Fi simply to list more options at a similar price, because being able to use Perks and/or free C&C for local stock might be worth more than that $3 difference for some.

Ah, rightoh, so Amazon is matching JB. So a good $70 savings to be had.

I stand corrected, good deal! :)

  • This is basically the K70 chassis with the OPX switches from the K100. They have very short actuation, I had O rings in my K100 to stop them bottoming out too harshly.

Once you get used to it though, it was a good experience. Ended up returning the K100 because some LEDs became faulty.
