Thank you OP! Rinsey 511s forever.

Wish Myer sold the 33 waists

That’s what I was looking for the other day. Wish they came in 33W/34L too but seems it’s only 33W/32L and from limited outlets. Got some off the Iconic with 30% off + extra $50 code with some Nike gear so they were a little cheaper than this.

      • Yeah I’ve been buying my 512s in 33/32 from iconic 30% off good enough for me

Tbh I’m prob almost close enough to just go down to 32/32 now

    • -3

You still got heaps of air flex to get you through

    • +1

33W/36L for me, more likely to find a gold nugget on a sidewalk.

  • +1

Thanks OP, was looking at these just last week

  • +2

Zoomers, are these jeans still cool?

    • +4

yes, but the original 80s/ 90s fit with a higher waist and a looser leg, found 2nd hand is far superior in quality and fit.

      • +3

Is that what the young people refer to as "norm core"?

        • +1

          fam, no cap, only base

        • pretty much, but they are sincerely x10 better tbh. find some and try them

          • +5

@darkmoss: No doubt, they certainly don't make them like they used to… my old man still has a Ralph Lauren polo shirt from '88 that, whilst a bit faded, is still solid with no missing seams or threads. Must have been worn thousands of times.

            • @Ham Dragon: and i bet he looks suave at every get together.
the new ralph polos are ratchet … the old ones fit and survive like a dream

              • @darkmoss: Possibly US made, and yes the new ones are just outlet quality junk, unless you can afford Purple Label.

                • +1

@Ham Dragon: yeah, i'm not sure when they switched over from USA made to asian made, but any of the 90s made (even very early 2000s) Ralph polos are superior to the current ones …if you can find them barely used.

              • @darkmoss: I think RL have a purple label line which is their quality made garments. The normal stuff is now relegated to DFO.

            • +2

@Ham Dragon: Absolutely agree with you. I've probably purchased over half a dozen RL polos from the late '80s and early '90s, all made in Hong Kong, excellent quality. Later in the '90s and early 2000s, it was manufactured in China, not as good but still so much better than today's.

501s were all I wore in the 80s. The quality of them these days are complete garbage, I honestly wouldn't pay $10 for them. I actually still have a couple of those old pairs, if only I could drop a few kilos to fit back into them.

        • +2

HEAR HEAR… they are sincerely so much better.
The quality of new ones are horrid .
Only the real ones know how much better the earlier made ones are.
          They're proper hand me downs

          • @darkmoss: Hand me down pants? Lol
There’s so many better things to hand me down than some cheap clothing. Id take an Omega watch but not pants.
Besides the older made Levi’s probably look like garbage today. Did they even have tapered slim fit back then?

            • @fuzor: good vintage levis are worth hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars..
and you can't buy the same quality new

    • +6

Yes they'll give you max skibidi rizz

      • +3

Fark I’m old. I vaguely know what this means from my 8yo’s YouTube habits.

    • +1

Nah they're warm. Oh damn I gave away that I'm not a Zoomer.

      The 40% off ends tmrw.

      • Boo :(

  • Thanks OP got a 501, 514, 516 which should last a few years

    • Yes ! I was looking for my previous order to find the size, bought 2020!

Since I have small kids and lay on my knees quite often ,they only last for 6 months…. quite disappointed

I pick up my Levi’s (38/34) from the local Salvos, normally $7-8ea. They’re almost like new, so that’s an option to check if you’re close to a op shop.

    YMMV

    • +1

A female friend went last week and picked up 3 pairs for 12 bucks, 2 of the pairs were Levis. They all looked brand new, although they probably still smell like R Kelly's sheets…

      • +3

        Macklemore, whispering: p i s s s s s s s s

        • but sh!t, they were 99 cents!

    • +1

All the ones around me always been raided by resellers. The stuff that IS left is outrageously priced.

    Costco sells in half price

    • These are 40% off so close to half price

    • yep. I got the 502 from costco recently for $54.99.

  • +1

Sigh… no 30/34 sizes online at all?!?

Come on now, not all of us have the Macca’s app!!!

  • Got a 512 last moment

    • +1

Good taste. 512 is the best of the lot imo. Just right.

      • Actually I recently bought 4 Levi's jeans from my home country, quickly checked they were 3 x 511 and 1 x 512, so I knew I needed to have one more 512 as it fit me the BEST.. 😂

I must confess, it only costs $40 to 50 on full price in my country for Levi's premium jeans.

Felt bad paying 40 extra for this one :s

    • Nothing makes you look like a typical cheap old man than that

  • +2

Got 2 of slim Maddox jeans for $109 instead.

    • I had always dismissed Maddox as being a crap in-house brand but pleasantly surprised by their Sherpa style denim jackets that have lasted me two years and still look mint. If you reckon the denim is worth a go I’ll take a look too.

      • +1

        @Jimothy Wongingtons
I found the Maddox brand to be of top quality. Bought a pair of slim blue jeans about two or three years ago and like your jacket, it still is in good nick to this day.

  • I hate how almost all the sizes are only 32" length - I need 33 or 34 length with 32" waist but so hard to find.

    • I feel ya

Looking for 34-35 waist and 38-39 lengths.

Hard to find quality jeans - with longer leg lengths for sometime now….I have better luck when shopping in US.

  • Good price esp with Myer "we miss you $20 voicber" I got this week 😃

  • Thanks, OP
    Got 2

  • Sad that Levis's jeans still run colour when washed.
