most likely everything will still be more expensive, even with 25% off…

    are there any bargains ???

    • I haven't seen that happen at Repco yet but I do know some places that do that.

I think he means Ripco are already 25%+ more expensive than other stores. I refuse to shop there tbh.

super cheap auto at least gives you some decent prices, and their shops are always bigger and better stocked

You'll be surprised - some items are more expensive, some aren't… I find my local one sells oil cheaper than supercheap, so the 25% off sale is awesome. Though I've already got two 5L containers still waiting to be used at home so there's no point in me buying more!

The Repco branded tools and parts are worth the extra $$ tbh. They're good quality and will last.

As for Repco being overpriced in general, it really depends on your location. In some areas Autobahn will have better prices, in other areas Super Cheap will have good prices. Out of my local stores, Repco have the best prices and they have the better service as well with people who actually know what they're talking about and are helpful (unlike the dropkicks at my local Super Cheap).

        • I noticed the same thing about the oils at Repco being cheaper than at SuperCheap

  • I just got the email, not too sure how to link the email, but heres the web address from my email account…?

  • Too bad they don't stock Gerni. Website search didn't reveal anything.
Would be interested if 25% off. Ah well.

  • Is Repco good for lawn mower oil prices?

    • +2

You'll probably find 1L SAE30 (most push mowers will be less than 1L) for $10. So you'll be able to save a whopping $2.50!!

  • Does anyone know if the normal 10% if your a club member work with sales item?

    • They don't combine discounts.

    • no it can't be used on top of sales items. I asked them yesterday…

      • thats pretty useless then.. I only buy things on sale anyways due to their high price

  • +1

I find repco special is full of shit imo. It exludes this and that. I only buy oil/catalogue special from them because you simply can't tell if the item is on special, unless you take them over to the counter and have them scan your membership card. As long as you don't mind doing that for every single item you are interested in.

buy most of my items are SupercheapAuto and other auto stores, at least they are honest in price.

  • Just in time as I needed to buy some servicing and cleaning products

  • Any one know if they actually check your card or can you just show them and they accept it?

I haven't been an RAC member for years, but still have the card and there's no expired date on it or anything so figured I could try my luck :-P

They do check your card and punch in the code from the back of it
Just try it out you might be fine if it has no expiry date

      • Cheers.. Hmm probably not worth it! Still plenty of time before my next service. I'll just wait till Super Cheap have another 20% off sale and grab some Mobil 1 Gold then :-)

        • Bought some Catrol Edge fully Synthetic but was told that the special didn't apply to oils….
