PS3 80GB + Bonus game = $599 @ Domayne

240

Yes its $599, not $699. Screened in a TV commercial today and I have confirmed it by calling the North Ryde store (NSW) that this deal is true. A good extra $80 saving on same bundle by DSE etc. hurry, only til this weekend.

^_^ Thanks to G5, we have a proper scan of the advertisement. make sure you grab yours today, only til this Sunday. I also updated the link to the scan.

Bonus game as usual is one of these:

  • Resistance 2
  • Little Big Planet
  • Motorstorm Pacific Rift
  • Singstar Gen 2

Correct me if the game listed above is wrong :P

  • A brilliant deal from Sony in an attempt to boost PS3's market share.
You are getting a lot for what you are paying for.

Its a shame that I've already have 2 PS3s…. or else I would have jumped for it!

  • Good deal if true, I'm hoping they will bundle it with the TVs again very soon so I can nail 2 flies with one hit, only need it as a blu-ray capable + other media player really…

  • i'd buy it if u can mod it.

but sony made a BIG mistake by making the copy protection so hardcore lol!

    x360 ruless

  • This is a nice deal, and as I prefer to buy games, this leaves you some money to buy games you want instead of getting free games that might not be to your taste.

  • Where is the link to this? There is no link on the Domayne website! Duh…

    • I would have posted it if i could find a link direct or any printed materials, ring up the store if you are keen and ask them about it. That was exactly what I did to verify this deal.

  • As soon as this goes on the website or in a catalogue you can take it to Hardly Normal and get a further 10% off with their price matching policy.

That will take it down to $540…. WOW

I heard somewhere there was an ad in the Brissie papers yesterday..??
Could someone find this and scan it for us..?

  • Just got this one yesterday from EB games, just bring the yesterday's Daily Telegraph, the promotion is on page 12, and they'll match price! hmmm can't wait to get the xbr tmrw….

    • Any chance of scanning the AD ? Thanks.

  • Cant wait to price match with Harvey Norman, any scanned ad. anyone?

  • +1

By the way, the Harvey Norman price match is not 10% of the sale price. It is 10% of the difference.
In this case, HN has the bundle for $677, so you'll only save about $7.80 by getting them to match it, bringing the final price to $591, not $540 as someone stated earlier.

  • Great work G5, yes Harvey Norman and Domayne are technically sister companies anyway, better buy it from domayne while you can, no point going around wasting petrol. $599 is already awesome deal!!

  • Hi guys I'm new to this site and I came to find your blog via google. I want a PS3 but was waiting till after Christmas hoping to get a better deal than the standard $688 plus free game. Do you think I should jump at this special now or wait till after Christmas. Is it likely that this Domayne slash may become a permanent start of a drop to come?

    • welcome Rocky75, if game consoles are to drop prices, they'd definitely choose to do so before X'mas to push sales like the Xbox. Reason being December is the end of financial year for US based companies, they'd want to look good in the books. Sony and Nintendo both came out earlier and stated no price drops for their consoles. Incentive being the new 80GB model with DualShock 3 plus the free game at exact price $699. Wii also have very cheap multi-games bundles going at $399. If you are expecting $599 to be the new PS3 price point, then what have you got to lose buying it now :)

This is purely my own opinion. Money is in your wallet.

  • doesnt Little Big Planet come free with new PS3s?

  • Hi Noslee, yes this is what I think but my wife thinks I should wait till after Christmas. Perhaps everyone will have at lower price at Christmas and with a better games bundle. Thanks Twig … yes Little Big Planet is one of the four games you can choose. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Personally I'd prefer Resistance 2.

  • Thanks to this posting…. i now have a new ps3!!!! sweet.
