Thanks OP. You might want to state that these are U.S. dates otherwise you'll get the obligatory comment from @nukkels

    • I don't understand why nukkels gets criticised. How hard is it for the OPs to change a few dates? They get all the votes for their 'work' to presumably go for monthly OzB rewards.

And yes, I can and do set my reminders to the day after the dates listed in the OP. However, not everyone would know to do that.

      EDIT: Thanks mod for resolving.

My apologies. I rarely post free games, mostly posted by dealbot
I am bad at setting the correct time for the time conversion, normally I leave this for the mods to edit for me

But in other cases, I try to format the deal properly so that I’m not misleading OzBargainers. Some don’t even bother to format it correctly

I do not have the aim to go for the monthly awards. If I win, I would then pat and congratulate myself for staying up late on most nights for cashback deals and the occasion of random times for posting deals

  • I have never downloaded a pc game from gog before. How does the claiming process work? Can i gift the game to someone else without the person signing up for an account?

    • +1

It depends, sometimes you get a serial key from PrimeGaming, sometimes you redeem directly through the website.

    • +3

For GOG games through Prime, Prime just gives you a key. You go into your GOG account and redeem it to add the game to your collection. So yeah, you could theoretically give that key to somebody else since your Prime and GOG accounts aren't actually linked. The person you give the key to doesn't need a Prime account, but they do obviously need a GOG account.

In other cases eg Epic store, your account is actually linked in Prime so claiming the game there just adds it to your Epic account, you don't get a key so there's nothing to give to anybody else.

also, some GOG games have limited time during which you can redeem them. If you give a GOG key to someone just check that there is no redemption restriction.

Games on GOG are DRM-free. You can download the files from GOG and install them directly or download the GOG Galaxy app for Windows (it's a game launcher) and install it from there. The nice thing about the GOG Galaxy app is that it has a nice menu and keeps your games updated for you, so you don't need to download and install patches.

Weird west is a fun game

Looking forward to getting a DRM free copy of Battlefront II (the original)!

  • It might be worth it for me, joining Prime for a month. Weird West: Definitive Edition is $54.95 full price, for a 20 month old game. The retail price will probably drop down to $40, and then there will be a 75% off sale, so $10.

    Battlefront II classic GOG code:
    5ZFC31C1DA5623D2C9 replace nine with eight

  • Has to be said, this is a really poor month of games. At least Epic have stepped it up this week and next week.

  • Anyone has Battlefront II classic GOG code please? TIA

  • Isn't this game a battlefield clone, online only? No pun intended.

    • Huh? No, this is the original Battlefront II with a campaign and multiplayer (although probably dead now).

      • Nice, this must not. Be the line that I was thinking is just on line multiplayer

Others finding that although redeemable via Prime, Weird West is unavailable for us in Australia via Epic? "This content is currently unavailable in your platform or region." https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/weird-west-906661

      Yes, I noticed this too.

I thought I had claimed it wrong (parental control settings?) but after claiming MythForce today, I was able to successfully search for MythForce and confirm the "Buy" button has been replaced by "In Library".

I still don't know why I can't perform the same confirmation with Weird West: Definitive Edition!

I took a look and once it's been redeemed we're still able to play it by installing it from the library, rather than the store page. I've got it loaded in now.
