Just got a limited shipment of these in at work and it seems like a good deal especially as you really need two of these to make full use of the tracking functionality.

I have a set and they are really good combination GPS/UHF radios. They were previously selling for $589 for two for a long time earlier this year. Dick Smith had a 1 hour sale on this about a month ago for $549 for 2 for anyone interested in the pricing history

    • There was a time, when these Rino's had issues, so I wonder if these have all been fixed?

PS For those with boats, Standard-Horizon's HX851's can cost LESS & transmit 6 watts (VHF Marine), incl's DCS (or is it DSC?) & inbuilt GPS. Each costs < US$ 250 incl S+H, from USA (via eBay)… 2x units travel for price of 1x from some eShops.

(They also have a 25 watt boat radio, that can travel in place of 2bd unit, in 2 box. Both radios have similar displays to deal's, ie, showing which way to other radio.)

      'just saying…

  • whats the freq of this unit?.. is it on the standard CB UHF band?

  • can these units be used overseas?… in USA / UK at all?

  • It is a standard 80 Channel UHF radio, with Australian license and accreditation. Technically they will work anywhere, however you would need to check with the local country to make sure the frequency is allowable.
