Not going to neg this, but it's a bit of a rubbish sale. Check out the Black Friday Lenovo deals for example the X230 or the T430u. Even after paying for shipito or some other courier service, it'd be cheaper to import.

I'll say X1 Carbon at $1199 is actually quite a good deal. When you buy it for business you claim 10% GST back, comparing to USD $1124.10 + Shipping on their Black Friday deal.

But yes our X230 is over-priced…

      • The X1 Carbon is really appealing. They've discounted the hdd upgrade with this sale, i'm getting a total of around $1400 with 256 sdd…. very tempting

If that's an indication of what we're in for on the "Click Frenzy" then our suspicions have been confirmed - at best it'll be similar to regular specials.

I agree, what a waste of time, shouldn't have named it clicking frenzy as everyone will certainly be clicking to check the prices but too bad there aren't any cash registers ringing or credit cards being pulled out. what a half assed attempt to mimic overseas shopping events, at least go the full way and offer decent discounts like the ones overseas if you're going to copy the name

  • 20% off is rubbish

    positive for the effort though

    • its based on web price, not RRP price.. its cheaper than the student price based on the same spec..

  • Got a word from the affiliate manager :)

    • This code was not supposed to be live until 7PM as it's part of the ClickFrenzy campaign. But anyway, you can use it now to avoid the rush.
    • All sales are attributed to ClickFrenzy. Therefore you might not be able to get cashback from StartHere or Buckscoop.
    • starHere does not work, cannot access any online shopping sites from it.
      I use firefox.

      • Are you using adblock / noscript style addons? They can break it

Anyway the 'bonus' deals are only available on specific configurations, not very appealing

  • Massively tempted at the X1 at that price with 256 SDD upgrade. I just sit outside the 30 day TRS refund for my trip though…arrghh

  • what is microsoft selling cheap ?
