  Sure it's an old cpu , but more than capable. If you don't want to use it as a laptop, set it up as a micro server on your network, The ram and HDD will do well.

    I'd be fine as a basic laptop. 32gb is overkill so no problem opening those 300 Chrome tabs:-)

    and as a server, it beats the ever popular N100 cpu

    This is faster, has more RAM, and has a dGPU, but you're correct in that most people would be better off with an 8th gen ultrabook.
