  • I just want to ask u if this "brand new" pc contains old parts ? The last deal I got from you last month has a old 2009 model Hdd.

    • Hi cezasu, the parts are brand new and the pc is brand new. Sometimes we are provided parts from suppliers which were produced 1-2 years ago, but again the parts are brand new and come with a 1 year store RTB warranty + a 3 year manufacturer direct warranty on the component itself. Keep in mind all of these parts are produced overseas (CPU = Malaysia, RAM = Taiwan etc) and the whole importing process sometimes takes months then the parts are passed through Australian importers to distributors to retail stores. Anyway rest assured you have a 1 year store warranty and 3 year manufacturer warranty on most parts!

That's an unacceptably old hard drive (and the manufacturer's warranty is likely expired). Any computer parts bought today should not show a manufacture date more than 6-12 months in the past. You should let customers know if you are selling NOS, as that carries risks not present in new hardware (such as a lack of firmware updates, lack of driver support for current OSs, etc).

It's a hard drive, trust me drivers are available and by Australian law your warranty starts from point of sale - this applies for any store or manufacturers warranty offered. If you find any really cheap external HDD's floating around, buy one and open it up to check the physical HDD date - you'll be surprised how many old parts are still in circulation on the market bazzaa. Toshiba external HDD's are infamous for clearing their old HDD stock in cheap externals.

        • Thanks rep.. for me i don't think it is a brand new old stock but it looks like a used part with old sticky tape on it . I will post a picture of it when I get home for all to judge. Cheers

      • Hi Rep,

This is the link to my "Brand New Old Stock" Hard Drive I found in my "Brand New PC"

Can you please advise if your above comment is still true?

  • How much for windows xp?

    • Lol Sorry Piston, legally I can't provide you with a brand new XP machine. Thank Microsoft for that! You can definately install it on the machine through 3rd party sources, but we as a Microsoft partner take these rules very seriously and we can't legally give you an XP machine as new.

  • Free shipping?

    • Unfortunately not! The website auto calculates if you're curious on price, freight starts from $15.

  • is this good for home use? no major gaming etc?

    • Hi kirasuran, this PC would be great for home or office use. It's basically made as a beefed up home or office PC! if you're after gaming we would need a few upgrades, but for surfing the web, downloads, music, photos, videos etc this machine would be great for you.

      • ok, and how long will this deal last?

        • Until next weekend!

  • hi. i have a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT graphics card. Will this graphics card work with this system. If so, can you help me install it free of charge.

    • +1

Hi dealsniper, we're more than happy to physically install this part for you free of charge. Keep in mind we can't do drivers without an O/S so you'd need to either buy the O/S from us too or install the driver yourself at home. We can do the physical install either way though at no charge, just mention this post!

      • how much is it to upgrade the PSU to 500W. Also what brand/model is this. thnx

        • hi dealsniper,
Case brand is Aywun, model is Aywun A1-BM. PSU comes included with this case from the manufacturer, if you wish to upgrade to a 550W Powercase PSU this would be an additional $25.

        • FYI deal sniper email us for faster responses on product queries. [email protected]

  • How many HDDs are supported in the Pocket Rocket & the Accelerated models? I could not find this info on your website.

  • How may HDDs can it take and does it have any RAID controller (if so, what RAID can it do)?

    • Hi tyrotex & skinny,
Full specifications for the motherboard can be found here - http://www.jwele.com/motherboard_detail.php?1149#_spec

quickly though, this motherboard has 4x SATA ports, 2 being used currently with 2 spare so you can add another 2 HDD's or ODD's.

      RAID support is for RAID 0, 1 & 10.

      • Thanks for the mobo info.
What about the cases? How many HDD slots/power connectors in the Pocket Rocket & the Accelerated models?

        • Pocket Rocket
          CASE HDD = 4
          CASE ODD = 2
          PSU SATA POWER = 4

          Accelerated
          CASE HDD = 4
          CASE ODD = 3
          PSU SATA POWER = 4

  • @Rep: I've never heard of the company that makes this mobo: JW-A55GM-USB3 First time I've seen their website. Are they any good?

    • Hi Greenpossum, JW have been around for a few years now. They're reliable boards, they do mainly mid range products and offer a 3 year direct warranty on their motherboards.

Acer desktops also commonly use these boards too FYI.
