Similar Laptop to the one that sold out recently which I didn't grab (The 3050), a bit extra dosh for a better graphics card.
Also welcome to seeing better deals posted in the comments if available.

Thank you for your feedback, you seem like a very knowledgeable individual when it comes to laptops. Could you please advise where I could get better specs for the same money, or alternatively, same specs for less money, in the past 12 months?
Thanks
Ugh. I had to log in to neg marshmallow guy
He'll tell you to get a 4060 for $800 🙄, but he won't post a link.
You'll look for such a deal only to realise there has never been a deal even close to that and there isn't likely to ever be one.
Then he'll say "wait for sale", which of course will never happen.
Old mate marshy just likes to 'review' every gaming laptop deal on ozb because he thinks he knows it all and likes the negative attention he gets.
He'll also try to claim that despite never having posted a deal on ozb he's constantly 'scouring' the internet for gaming laptop deals and his 'reviews' of other people's deals are so valuable to the community.
@marshmall0w2: Yes we would still like to know where to get an RTX 4060 laptop for $800. You linked a 5060 model for over two grand.
@marshmall0w2: I wasn't one of the 45 that negged you actually. That segment is what I'm talking about, you asked if we wanted to know where a 4060 laptop for under $800 is, and then linked 3 irrelevant laptops. Where is it?
@serpserpserp: "This deal is not bad because the other deals are not ongoing atm" meta really taking off in OzB huh.
@marshmall0w2: You can link to sold products on eBay. EG this HP Aero laptop was $948.80 with code HPMY20 back in May.
@marshmall0w2: I dont think there ever has been a deal for 4050 laptops for $800. If such a deal was on linked on OZB I cant find it.
You just don't want to admit some of these are actually bad yourself because doing so would mean agreeing with me.
We already had this discussion in another thread. If you recall, I agreed that the deal was bad. (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16749424/redir) That wasn't my concern. The concern is the better 'deals' that you keep talking about but can never actually produce any evidence of.
All that people are expecting of you is to refer to deals that are better than the ones you are critical of, but you never do. You always talk about these magical 4060s for $800 but there's no evidence of them anywhere. That's why people get frustrated with you.
When you do post a link it's for a completely different set of specs and is completely irrelevant to the deal you're commenting on, just like you've done here.
For the record, I don't think the deal in this thread is great, so I haven't up voted it. I also don't think it's terrible, so I haven't down voted it.
The centre com laptop you posted seems decent for the price, but it's not a gaming laptop so it's not relevant here.
Ditto for the Acer you posted.
And the MSI is well over $2k. No one looking to buy a ~$1k laptop is going to stretch their budget to over over twice as much. So again, it's not relevant.
Again, you seen to like the down votes for some reason, like they're some badge of honour. But to avoid them you need to make reasonable suggestions. Paying $800 for a 4060 isn't a reasonable suggestion. You may think that $800 is a reasonable price point for a 4060, but that doesn't make it reality.
Just like it would be silly for me to walk into a Toyota dealer and tell them that a LandCruiser isn't worth $130000, it's really only worth $80000. While that may be true there's no way I'm getting one for $80k, so my opinion would be irrelevant.

I guess you didn't want an actual discussion because I already said
You wanted to ask where you can get an RTX 4060 laptop for $800 right? It's eBay Plus (sometimes not needed Plus) with cashback and coupon but it is using this seller; and plenty of people aside myself know of this; dunno why you don't yourself but if your comments are any indication of doing your own research, then I can understand why - it's because you don't seem to. This link is RTX 5060 but you get the point.
Then, you claim
When you do post a link if for a completely different set of specs and is completely irrelevant to the deal you're commenting on, just like you've done here.
When I was responded to your point about me not giving deals I think are good deals. Uh huh. So you create strawmans for varied use for one thing and for another thing.

Great. Therefore proving again that you don't actually read

Meh, I will link this message whenever you comment as a counter-comment.
@marshmall0w2: All you need to do is post the next eBay 4060 $800 deal on ozb. That's it. Until you do, you don't have any credibility.
I could also claim the my local Toyota dealer was selling LandCruisers for $50k last year. Oh but I can't show any evidence, you'll just need to believe me.
See how that's hard to believe?
All you need to do is post the next eBay 4060 $800 deal on ozb. That's it. Until you do, you don't have any credibility.
Meh, I only give deals to my mates whom I like. I will not be bullied into providing deals. I've provided just two really good ones in this thread just so I can link these for future reference as counter-comments. I will continue providing "bad deal", "good deal", and other informative comments wherever, and you're free to spend your time however you wish.
I only give deals to my mates whom I like. I will not be bullied into providing deals.
That's what someone would say who knows these deals don't exist.
Do what you like, champion. Do you realise that as soon as you get a few down votes, your comment gets hidden anyway? So no one is going to see your valuable advice. But yeah, you do you.
@wombat81: Yes I know. It'll be easy for a company like evatech to bury dissenters. From my own research, they have 27-30 affiliated accounts that upvote their deals in short burst of time equal to the amount of negs I get on a comment. How I know this is the timing. I commented very early and got the same 27-30 negs as much as the product's upvotes. OzBargain should really not hide highly negged comments. Allow these negged comment to be collapsed, sure, but not outright un-shown, which again lends to abuse. But then again, I do understand OzBargain is still an affiliate marketing website. I mean, I get it. I used to be an affiliate marketer. Now I'm just a consumer-first commenter here.
@serpserpserp: In two separate occasions I have commented on evatech, I was brigaded the same number of negs as the votes in the same very short timeframe. But up to you. One guarantee is that I'm not in the pocket of anyone here on OzB.
@marshmall0w2: Nor am I honestly but you have to give and take. It's unfair to keep criticism the ops deals if there is no source of a better option in similar price range. And while you may only provide it to your mates. The time it does happen, just take a screen shot and show everyone if you don't want to provide links. At least the community would know it exists.. if the off chance that your mates don't want the laptops then please post it as a deal.
That Samsung tab S9 edu deal I shared in the comments the other day probably helped someone but of course I did it after I had purchased it.
Anyway you seem well informed it would be good to use that knowledge to help share the good deals you come across.
In all honesty I am looking for a laptop as well and nearly bought the MBA 13 24gb/512, but I'm waiting for the m4 as I use a 3 screen layout. But if a good laptop goes on ozbargain that rivals that deal with multi screen support I'll jump on it.
@maverickjohn: I got the 13" MBA M4 from the recent JB Hi-fi $200 coupon deal, paired with Ultimate gift card, totalling to about $1000. But base 16gb model.
@maverickjohn: No it's JB Hi-fi. I've also put a 255h deal and a 258v deal above. Those are great options with easy multi-monitor support.
@marshmall0w2: I'll skip refurbs but will keep the vibobook on my radar. However at that price I'd probably prefer the mac m4
@maverickjohn: True. Those are just good deals relative to what's on the market. I myself use a MBA so yeah just wait for the next sale. There's a lot of MBA sales anyway.
I think that poster is totally wrong, the -75 downvotes probably gives it away but anyway:
Cheapest I could find was ERAZER Deputy P60 Gaming Laptop w/ 4060 on amazon or jbhifi $1,149 so I wouldnt say this deal is bad, I dont think its particularly good for a 4050.
If I was gaming, id get a 4060 laptop due to the VRAM. 8GB should be enough for gaming at laptop resolutions, but the 6GB in the 4050 wont be without severe compromises.
EDIT: just looking on ebay has
Acer Nitro 5 ANV15-51 Intel i5-13420h 16Gb RAM 1TB SSD 8Gb RTX4060 15.6" FHD
Says refurb but NIB (?) $1159 - id presume refurb
Id get that anyway (I have had two Nitros, and whilst they are budget gaming laptops they are pretty decent imo)
NB There are cheaper ones, but be careful the Acer helios the seller has 0 feedback….no thanks
That's ONGOING deals. The $800 RTX 4060-non-Clevo-deal is with eBay as I've linked. As mentioned, not all deals are on OzBargain and the ones on OzBargain have historical lows of $1100. There was an eBay double coupon deal that brought these down to $800. In the original post that people are referencing, I'm saying paying $1450 or so for an RTX 4060 is a bad deal, which I stand by.
Haha maybe not in the past 12 months, but here's just about 12 hours after your comment: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/917541
Only If it was a ryzen 7
I think the GPU is the real dealbreaker, Ryzen would be better of course, for heat alone.
I'll give this guy half a vote… +0.5
This post sure aged fast
Cyberpunk Playable on this ?
60fps with reduced graphical settings.
Going off the graphics card alone, https://www.notebookcheck.net/Cyberpunk-2077-Phantom-Liberty…
By this benchmark, it shows the RTX 4050 hitting ~88 FPS on Low, 75 FPS on Medium, and 67 FPS on High at 1080p
just turn DLSS up to nasty
This is an Australian review released yesterday and they run Cyberpunk - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg_xqa18msA
Wouldn't be buying a 6GB GPU in 2025, as Doom Dark Ages, for example, requires 8GB. Maybe the deal would be better if they included a 5050 instead.
how about wukong wuchang wulong?
What's that?
Ok but it is $1k. Can you even get 8GB at 1k in any other deal?
Does it has empty memory slot for upgrading?
Not behd good soize.
honestly the 4050 is the bare minimum gaming laptop gpu chip.
"Not behd good soize" - what language is this?
Might hurt with only 6gb too
Is this part of the degradation CPUs from Intel that affects most Gen 12/13/14 desktop and laptop CPUs?
I wonder how long the warranty is?
Laptop CPUs weren't affected by degradation issue. It was only 13th n 14th Gen and mostly the high wattage CPUs.
The jump from 4050 to a 4060 is massive, and that's not even the best 4060 deal.
See, why would you make this comment and not at least offer some sort of information about the "best" 4060 deal?
"I bought my 4060 laptop for $1000 from eBay last year"
Or
"Sometimes eBay has deals that bring 4060 laptops down to $1k"
Give us something, dude.
Give us something, dude.
He has nothing to give. He hallucinates about prices more than an AI chatbot.
Can't recommend Victus, I have an older one. It's very plastic, the body can flex. Mine gets bluescreen VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE frequently in hotter months and HP have been useless.
And don't forget HP stands for Hinge Problem, the hinge on one side of mine is already starting to look a little busted after 2 years
Is there thunderbolt 4
Nice laptop but too thick.
I've been boycotting all Intel and HP products, also Dell for their ties to Israel. It's a good deal nonetheless.
And what have you accomplished so far? Apart from bleating on the internet about achieving nothing.
One thing that caught me out on a similar model was that all the USB ports (A and C) are only 5Gbps. I just assumed at least the C port would be 10Gbps
What are you plugging in that can use 10Gbps?
The Gibson
What's that?
Portable NVME
Looks like it's $1300 now?
You have to use the code HPJL20 at checkout
