Motorola G84 (5G, Dual SIM, 256GB/12GB) $267.30, G54 (5G, Dual SIM, 128GB/8GB) $177.30 & More - Delivered / C&C NSW @ Mobileciti » All Comments
The more G84 deals continue to be offered, the more confident that Moto-AU is still holding-stock & are likely to dump them soon…closer-to $200 ?
I'm betting on Moto-AU stocking more-phones-than-usual with 3G shutdown in 2024.Some of these neggers will be quietly buying & smiling: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15395574/redir
Will Moto-AU dare to repeat their mistake with G82: was selling them for a higher-price than G84 in 2023 ? The only way to hide the heavy-discount is to bundle-them with other-specials, eg Amaysim G62 offers.
E-sim compatible?
G54 yes
G84 noso G84 two actual sim slots right
Yes
Yes, 2nd one is a hybrid according to the specs.
I’d pull the trigger on the G84 if it had ability for multiple esims. Real shame
Hi rep,
Are you able to help with some questions:
What is the difference between the cameras? (G84: 50MP Ultra Pixel camera + OIS / vs / G54: 50MP camera system with OIS)
Likewise with the 5G - is Next-level better than Superfast? (G84: Next-level 5G performance / vs / G54: Superfast 5G performance)
Do they support eSIM?
Thanks.
G54 supports e-sim and has SD support
G84 does not support e-sim and does not have SD support.Cameras on phones like these are horrible. Don't bother too much with cameras at a price point this low. But if you need a video for reference, there's plenty online Here for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4prgniCNIY
Cameras on phones like these are horrible
I disagree. I bought a G84 a few weeks ago and was not looking forward to the camera. However, the first thing I did was switch to the GCAM mod, and now the photos are excellent. I'm pretty critical of my photographs, and use multiple DSLRs - not comparing them, but the G84 cameras with GCAM are terrific. The stock G84 camera app is terrible - really terrible. But the GCAM makes everything fine.
What about 54?
@blitz: I couldnt find the G54 or G84 in the camera links section on that site. Which details do we follow
@flashman1207: Yep, they're not labelled according to your device. I installed MGC_8.9.097_A11_V25 (I'm running Android 14, but it would work with Android 13 also).
You just download it to your device, then navigate to your downloads folder. Tap the three vertical dots (a.k.a. the kebab menu) next to the downloaded .apk file, and select "Install". Your device does the rest. Then make sure you set it to your default camera app.
@blitz: Why did you put older version link of gcam BSG MGC_8.9 ?
The newest version is here:
https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev…BSG: MGC_9.2.113_A11_V14
@neoleo: There is a V15 out now too.
What is the significance of the
_snap, _MGC, _ENG, _aweme, _scan32 versions? just different hosts for downloads?I clicked the _ENG one and some Russian words came up, does not give me confidence. Don't want to get hacked.
@fredk1000: From a forum:
• _snapcam / org.codeaurora.snapcam: devices with Snapdragon processors (eg: OnePlus).
• _qcamera3 / org.codeaurora.qcamera3: devices with Snapdragon processors.
• _aweme / com.ss.android.ugc.aweme: some Realme, OPPO, and OnePlus devices.
• _ruler / com.samsung.android.ruler: for Samsung devices.
• _scan3d / com.samsung.android.scan3d: for Samsung devices.
• _glens / com.google.android.GoogleCameraEng: if you want to use Google Lens.
Why did you put older version link of gcam BSG MGC_8.9 ?
@neoleo because it's a matter of fact that that was the version I installed, and it's been stable on my G84. You'll see the warning under the 9.x branch, which reads:
*This is a new version, so choice is still limited and they might not be very stable or full of features.
If you want to install the latest build, then go for it, but I don't have time to mess about with unstable apps. That's why I linked to the version that I know works.
@blitz: I tried the 9.2 V15 and crashing after a photo or two, will try the 8.9 as you suggested.
Tried the 8.9 version and seems more stable right away. Thanks.@blitz: It looks like from all versions of BSG's gcam mod, around version 14 or 15 is stable/good enough, then he move to the next version.
Under Advance setting, version 9.x has "Ultra HDR" and "Rich colour in photos" (display P3 colour format). Version 8.9 doesn't have these features.
Now I have 2 gcam with the latest version and the version 8.9. So far, I cannot distinguish the photo difference between these 2 versions in my phone. One photo has Ultra HDR and richer colour, then the older photo with 8.9 version without these features.
@blitz: I have noticed that the latest BSG gcam 9.2 v15 has the same file size in google photo (backup), but with v8.9 the file size is smaller (compressed in google photo backup, unless you set google photo backup in original size, not storage saver).
The latest version of BSG 9.2 V15 should be stable enough. I guess that soon maybe he'll move to higher version based on his previous gcam versions. Of course following the official Pixel camera version.
@neoleo: Yes, that makes sense. For various reasons I doubt I'd upgrade GCam on my device unless it begins to show instability. For me the photo quality is acceptable. It would be interesting to take a deeper look at the photo quality using the different Gcam versions though.
@blitz: Photos from the latest gcam still get compressed in Google Photos. Maybe only certain photos under certain conditions that can still have the same file size in Google Photos after uploaded in the server.
I'm not familiar with GCAM or how it works, so it's my fault for being ignorant and automatically assuming it's bad. What exactly is GCAM and how does it work?
@NotReallyaMoneySaver: GCAM is just Google's camera app. It replaces Motorola's crummy camera app and it makes the world of difference. From the website above:
"This is a modified Google Camera app, also known as Pixel Camera. Google Camera is the stock camera app shipped on Nexus and Pixel phones from Google. Google's HDR+ technology improves picture quality specially on low and mid end phones.
Features include HDR+, portrait mode, motion photos, panorama, lens blur, 60fps video, slow motion, and more.
Because Google Camera wasn't created to work on all phones, it's all a bit messy (read: why so many devs/ports), but a few developers try to make it compatible with a huge number of phones."
In fact, the Motorola camera app is such an adverse signal (camera quality comes up in every conversation about these phones) that I wonder why Motorola persists with it.
Whilst using the gcam app makes better photos, it cant be set as the default camera (launched from the lock screen for example) so it's less convenient. Furthermore, other apps that use the camera like Instagram or video calls etc use the default Motorola processing. So in a lot of instances you have to put up with poor quality.
Whilst using the gcam app makes better photos, it cant be set as the default camera (launched from the lock screen for example)
With GCAM installed, Android will ask you which camera to use when gesturing (e.g. double wrist turn to open camera): you just select "GCAM" and then "Always" and it's set as the default camera for that gesture. I can't comment on Instagram because I don't use it. But my recommendation there is to pre-record the video call using the good camera, and then just play it back in the app. If the other party complains, I'd tell them it's a $260 phone and they should build a bridge and get over it.
@blitz: Unfortunately thisis incorrect advice aas it hasn't worked without root since android 11, when google disabled changing default camera for security reasons. If you do manage to change the default camera to gcam and use the quick launch shortcut, you will need to unlock the phone before it opens.
Instagram, Snapchat, tiktok, whatever app uses the camera API will all be poor quality.
Pre recording a video conversation, very clever.
you will need to unlock the phone before it opens.
Yes, this could be true: I do need to unlock the phone when I use gestures. :/
@blitz I installed BSG gcam snap and mcg versions and both of them crashed after taking pictures. What needs to be done to get it to work?
@sintro: have you rebooted your phone? You only need to install one of them - in my case, I installed the snap apk. You then need to reboot your device. Post back with the results.
@sintro: There are some download links, just try each of them or according to your phone spec. Certain gcam mods are only compatible with certain phones or otherwise crash. Other answer could be that you messed up the gcam settings maybe. For example, certain phones that don't support 4k video, just stick with 1080p option.
There are other settings that should only be changed according to specific phones.
Also different processor could crash certain gcam mods (not compatible). Snapdragon processors should be fine. But more tricky with Samsung Exynos processor, Kirin processor etc.
@neoleo: I used this config file and the rear camera works well with it. Front camera quality is not so good and the default camera is better.
Here is the config file:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/125RjJu40_2oGrPAzLMromJquYoT…
Hi @blitz, I downloaded GCAM 8.9 BSG ENG but my photos still look crappy. Indoors (daytime) the photos look a bit grainy and faces are blurry.
Did you have to use one of the scripts on celsoazevedo.com or did you just install the APK? Are there any other settings I should try in the GCAM app?Any help would be appreciated! (Also using a G84)
@Ozbar Gain: No scripts, just installed the .apk, then rebooted the phone. Photos look great. I don't recall changing too many settings in the app but @neoleo might have an idea.
If you don't like the photos even after installing 8.9, I'd consider upgrading to a newer version or switching to the same version from a different developer.
@Ozbar Gain: When you open gcam then swipe down to see some settings. Tap more settings, to see more settings.
Scroll down to see and tap "Advanced":
Show dirty less warning: Enable this
HDR+ Control: Enable this
Social media depth features: up to you to enable or disable this. I keep this enabled. Certain gcam mod on certain phones crash after enabling this. If gcam crash, need to go to phone setting and gcam (camera) setting to clear the app data and start from scratch to change the gcam settings.Enable Time Lapse for Astrophotography: I enable this usually
Timer Light: up to you if you like
The rest of "Advanced" are disabled for me.Tap back to go back to main settings.
Under "Photo" section:
Auto Night Sight: enable this
Camera photo resolution: RAW format resolution (result in 12 Mega Pixel photo instead of 7.7 MP in Full resolution)Under "Video" section usually I enable both video stabilisation
Scroll down to see "Disable logging". I disable this. Most people don't need this.
Tap back to go out of main/more settings. On top of the mini settings, I set this:
Focus: '"Auto" (up to you)
More Light : "Night Sight" (icon A with half moon). Indoor photo will look brighter especially when it's quite dark, lower noise from lower ISO (better photo, less noise). If this is OFF, the ISO number will be higher (more noise, more grainier photo). You can compare 2 photos and tap the photo (showed in Google Photos) and swipe up until you see under Details (see the ISO number). When taking photo outdoor even in bright condition, usually the ISO number is around 100.Google AWB: Off (up to you). Compare outdoor photo such as the sky or trees. Is the colour the same or as close as what you see?
HDR+ (3 options up to you):
Off : Fast taking photo but darker indoor
On : better but taking longer time to take photo
Enhanced : best photo but taking longer time to take photo
HDR stakes few frames together that results in better quality photo. It's best to set HDR+ Enhanced enabled. If you want to take photo quickly like fast moving object, set HDR+ as "Off".Frame HDR+: up to you to set Auto or Default or how many frames staked together. More frames, longer time to take photo. Maybe just set Auto or Default for this.
So, the problem of grainy or blurry indoor photo maybe because HDR+ "Off", More Light as "None", and your hand maybe shaking/less stable. For me, I always set
HDR+ as "Enhanced"
More Light as "Night Sight"Remember: Night Sight means lower ISO (especially indoor), so less noise (reduce grainy photo risk). Blurry is usually caused from shaking hand, hand should stay still when taking photo. Otherwise use Tripod (I don't have). Blurry is also because taking photo too long (more frames) when HDR+ is On or Enhanced.
But your phone has better display (P-OLED). I think better use the latest gcam mod version 9 because of HDR. There is "Ultra HDR" and "Rich colour in photos" inside "Advanced" settings. The photos should look better with the latest gcam mod because of P-OLED screen.
@Ozbar Gain: Also sometimes the phone camera may become dirty. Sometimes gcam will remind to clean the camera lens. At least wipe the camera lens with your shirt or clean cloth/tissue. Sometimes I wipe my phone, laptop and ipad with disinfectant wipes (like tissue wipes) from Wollies ($3 for 120 packs is the cheapest of all disinfectant wipes). My phone will feel smoother and clean after wiping.
The G84 does support SD. You can use a microSD card in the 2nd sim card slot.
Oh no G84 no sd slot no good
I was wrong. The G84 does have microSD! I apologise for the misinformation
G84 I can confirm does have an SD slot (its a dual sim hybrid so its either 2 sims or a sim plus SD) I also can confirm unlike nokia's it not limited to FAT32 but also supports exfat so no 4GB file limits)

Motorola Moto G85 with eSim just launched on 2024, June 25
Awesome option, when the price gets to 300
Holddd
I had a dream last night that JB dropped their G54s down to $98 to clear them out before EOFY ends. It was a nice dream.
Nice dream, I will definately buy one even I dont need it ;)
any Huawei laptops for sale? in future?
Good to know you're interested! It probably won't be this year.
Amaysim did it for $59 last week, not the craziest dream!
I know… but only if you got the $150 coupon code.
JB doing for $98 plus the $50 off 3G trade in coupon would make it $48 which is what made me so excited when I woke up… until I realised I was dreaming.
No , I got the G54 for $149 a while back when they were on sale at jb plus used $10 perks voucher and that’s as cheap as they’re gonna get , alright .
Arrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!Unless you got one of the Amaysim $150 coupon codes, you've probably gotten the cheapest price that is obtainable by you.
Unless my dream turns out to be true of course… still one more day of the financial year to go!
I was getting the message on my Poco X3,not getting on my new g84
Every time I dialed out on Poco i would get the warning….now I don't…..I'm not sure why I wouldn't take that as it's going to work.
And it IS is their best interest what handset I buy.
@Nalar: Wasn't trying to have a crack at you directly. Was saying that just because you don't get the audio message, you're 100% good, sometimes systems fail and you don't want to get caught out, which the premise of the original statement was based on the info from mobileciti website (noting it didn't have B28) which others have referenced Motorola's website directly having it.
That's a very good point.
https://www.mobileciti.com.au/motorola-moto-g54-5g-indigo-bl…
https://www.mobileciti.com.au/motorola-g84-dual-sim-256gb-12…
There are significantly fewer bands on the G84 vs G54, especially for 4G. I wonder why that is.
G84 also does not have eSIM, despite being positioned as the higher end phone vs the G54.
Hopefully the G85 doesn't have these issues and we won't have to warn people again this time next year when the G85 prices start to dip.
Seems like a misprint on the site according to GSMArena.
Both international and LATAM models support B28. Even on Mobilciti they claim it's the AU model, which certainly has B28:
Model: PAYM0029AU
It'll be a BOLD-move by Motorola-AU to distribute a 2023-phone with 3G complete-shutdown soon & NOT support B28 (Telstra & Opus). We're NOT dealing with a grey-import hiding behind a dodgy-shop-front. Moto-AU products are retailed by all-3 major-mobile-carriers.
Click-on View-all-specifications & locate Connectivity-4G: LTE band-> https://www.motorola.com.au/smartphones-au-moto-g84-5g/p
Hangon so G84 with boost sim cannot make calls after 3G shutdown? In law is with boost need to change her phone
I was only looking at the mobileciti's website, but others have noted that it appears to have B28. (rep might need to update the tech specs)
short version is, if the device doesn't have B28, you might still be okay if you're in an area that has support of the other 4G bands.Vague & NON-detailed comments are subject to DIFFERENT-interpretations…a common practice by many-OzBargainers.
As others have point out, it does support B28
From the motorola australia website:
4G: LTE band 1/2/3/5/7/8/18/19/20/26/28/32/38/40/41/42
5G: n1/n3/n5/n7/n8/n20/n26/n28/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78
The new G85 is priced at US $229.99 which is under AUD $350 but again with gst and fat retail margins, we must pay $450.
Same phone basically just costs more for the micro tweaks lol
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?&idPhone1=12824&idPhon…
Bought G54 at JB hi-fi yesterday. Listed $199, asked rep for a deal and got it for $189. $12 difference to OP deal, but nice to have in-store.
Nice try, but don't forgot small businesses. If they can't compete with large retailers, Do you think they will still provide the lower price?
Hi store rep,
I purchased two TCL earbuds. They are both faulty. I emailed [email protected] and [email protected] but received no response. Are you able to help me?
I apologise for the inconvenience. We typically respond to all emails within 24 hours. If you haven't received a reply, please check your junk mail folder. If you still don't find it, send me PM with your email address and order number. I will investigate it.
Mobile Citi 👎
Australian stock, rep is responsive and they create some of the cheapest all time lows. What's bad about them?
Overpriced, poor customer service, and unprofessional when it comes to processing an order.
For me warranty support. With a TCL phone I purchased under a year ago they fobbed me off and told me to speak to TCL directly.
Unless it was within a few weeks of purchase, isn't contacting the manufacturer the standard procedure for a warranty?
@shxhshzhz: ACL says the retailer must handle warranty, even if that just means they'll send it back to manufacturer and you have to wait.
Sometimes it might be quicker to deal directly with manufacturer but they can't force you to, they are still responsible for it.
How would the G84 compare to my aging Galaxy S9+?
It's an upgrade
Jumped on it, cheers.
The S9+ has been flawless apart from having to replace the battery once, time to relegate it to a back up phone for the kids.
I bought the g54 for my mum do I haven't had much time to play around with it, but it's there no way around the Google Photos for the camera album? It's so annoying to get into as it keeps prompting her to add storage even though back up is off
I think the problem is Google Drive, not Google Photos. Check the gmail app then tap top right of the account to see storage used xx% of 15 GB. How many GB storage left over from the free 15 GB total?
She had no storage left, she couldn't even send emails so I sneakily deleted some of her photos lol. But even though I set the Photos app to not back up automatically it still has the storage notice there
Install the Google Gallery app.
This is the way!Issue solved for me.
Thanks
I got a G84 for $245 from JB Hifi last night. Talked to the online chat but only got $5 off. I then had a $50 coupon from the 3G trade in.
How's the Motorola's Android interface compare to Samsung's? I'm looking for a replacement phone for the old man's Samsung A20 but he may get frustrated with it if it's too different.
It is quite different Moto UI is close to stock Android UI like the pixels but with couple of extra features on top. Samsung's One UI is an all together different beast like Xiaomi's MIUI which is also a completely custom UI. In short your dad might find it a bit too different to his liking. He should get used to it in a couple of weeks though.
After the Android 14 update I can't get the G54 to have the back button on the right which is a bit of an annoyance for my dad who was using a Samsung before.
I searched around the other day and it seems it can't be changed now :(
Frustrating when they make these changes. Not sure how to help with that directly but maybe he could try gesture navigation instead.
Didn't take long to get used to it and it's hard to go back to buttons now. One annoyance though is when trying to crop pictures from the edge, need to go really slow so it doesn't go back instead of reducing the frame.
HODL if you are an opportunistic buyer as the G85 has been launched. Otherwise get this one if you absolutely need it, this is still a decent price.
No esim for g84 is deal breaker
I have both the G54 and G84 phones in hand. Their overall performance is quite similar, as indicated by their identical AnTuTu scores. The main difference is that the G84 has an OLED screen, which I find more comfortable.
So true. That OLED gets so bright that in outdoor one doesn't' struggle looking at the screen .
what about darkness, e.g using the screen in the dark, does it go dark enough or burn your eye balls after 3 mins?
Can either phone do USBC > HDMI?
Thought of sharing with y'all!
I bought G84 from them and can confirm that it's dual sim with the option to expand memory up to 1TB. Currently using 512GB Samsung evo plus micro SD card bought from Amazon for $32.
I can also confirm that I'm using telstra sim card and having no issues in calls or mobile Internet. Earlier was using boost. Same no issues whatsoever. Getting 5G pretty much everywhere. Even while travelling in Vline in Melbourne.
G84 also has an option to double your RAM to 24 GB. It's called RAM boost.
It also has Dolby Atmos and Spatial audio which makes a difference if turned OFF.
Also after activating developer option, I've disabled all apps animations to NONE. So it's pretty fast in opening apps and doesn't lag anywhere. It's doesn't have the best processor that's why disabled all animations.
I hope this will clear few doubts of yours.
Have a good weekend!I am happy, thanks
I think to double your RAM you'd need to download some.
Mobileciti just now confirmed the g84 does not have band 28 . Awaiting further coms re the 54 and all motorola versions
What is band 28 for?
Band 28 is for VoLTE.
The G84 has Band 28 as seen on Motorola's website but people in these comments are spreading false information.
https://www.motorola.com.au/smartphones-au-moto-g84-5g/pIt's there as I'm getting VoLTE connection on G84.
via ebay
I wonder if OW price beat this.
No, it uses a coupon code
Not sure if many people have tried Smart Connect (Ready For) connecting their Motorola phone to a PC.
It's pretty cool I think.
Can read about it here;
https://motorolanews.com/smart-connect/
and software here;
https://en-au.support.motorola.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1…Can use your phone as a webcam, stream the apps onto PC, control it etc, transfer files and more.
Wasn't really advertised but I got a pop up message.
I connected a PS4 controller via bluetooth with the phone too, the PS4 touch pad was controlling a mouse on the phone.. Retro games were much better with the controller.
Are there any software to sync and backup the Motorola g84 locally to a pc?
I am not seeing it, just seeing the backup to Google cloud.
They want your data.
Real shame about the lens delamination issue. Makes it a no go for me.
Is this an issue with standard G54 we have in Australia or just the G54 Power available in India?
All the lens coating issue posts I read seem to be from India. A lot of the posts just say G54 and doesn't differentiate between the normal and the power version. Is the normal version even available in India?
It has been reported on both G54 and G84. Commenters here are from Czech Republic and Germany though I suppose they could have been sourced in India.
https://techissuestoday.com/motorola-moto-g84-5g-g54-5g-came…
Not a lot of independent Aussie review sites left. productreview lists only the non-5g versions.
Not much of an upgrade from g82, bought for $200, jbhi fi deal 2 years ago. I'll pass..
My partner has this phone and she has major issues with notifications, just not getting them for certain apps and it's a known issue for Motorola that they are "working" on but it's been months with no resolve. It's made her actually hate the phone. I have personally tried everything to resolve it but nothing works. There are several threads about it on the Lenovo website and reddit. Because of this reason alone I would not recommend this phone.
G84 or g54?
G84, we use messenger to chat, so if I send a bunch of messages, I'll prank call her so she's getting some type of notification. I am well versed with Android and the battery and app restrictions for apps that cause no or late notifications as I have a pixel 7 pro since launch and these restrictions were introduced with the new version of Android the pixel shipped with. I had to turn a bunch of the restrictions off for the pixel and yeah. The moto g84 has issues with notifications, major issues.
Cheers for advising.
My dad and I both have the G54 as our back up phones so just wasn't sure if that was something we needed to keep an eye on.
damn, really sux, wonder if this is only for specific apps? but gmail, whatsapp all ok?
For me the issue is only with messenger. Whatsapp do get notified. Gmail is off for me as I use outlook which do get notification. With messenger sometimes I do get notified but most of the times receives msgs when open app.
I think this has to do with Agressive App/Power Management on the Motorolas. They seem to put un-used apps to sleep and their notifications will be late (only the App got woken up) or totally missed.
I initially had issues with notifications, but they've eased up. As below, I think it's to do with app power management. But, one thing I've noticed is that you need to reboot the phone after making changes to notification settings. I've not had this occur on any prior phone, but somehow rebooting the G84 applies the notification setting, while leaving it running (like other phones) doesn't seem to apply the changes.
We have received your inquiry. After reviewing, we found that the Motorola Moto G84 5G does not support Band 28. Please refer to the attached file for information about network bands compatible with the device.
Do not hesitate to reach out if you need any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Maria
Mobileciti_estorePlease forgive me for spreading false information . Just reporting info direct from the retailer ! But now I am suss as to why these phones are being heavily discounted continuously !
Without Band 28 does it mean Boost sim cant make calls & sms after 3G shutdown?
SMS-messages: you can research it yourself.
ALL-carriers use 4G-Band28 & we're told that we'll get better mobile-signal when inside-building, underground-carpark, or structure that block electromagnetic-radiation, eg you are @ different part of a building & your VIDEO-quality drop, while using your mobile-phone. All of this happen automatically, your-phone detect the best-signal broadcast by your-carrier.
4G-Band28 is electromagnetic-radiation, the underlying-energy that 3G, 4G & 5G are build-upon: https://byjus.com/question-answer/what-is-electromagnetic-ra…
Previously many-VOICE-mobile-calls (ie you dial a mobile# directly on your mobile-phone & NOT-APP) were being transmitted via 3G-network…4G mainly use for data-transmission:
If you are using a NON-support-device RIGHT-now on Telstra/Optus mobile-network, & you make a VOICE-call, it works because your VOICE-call is being transmitted via their 3G-Network.
Telstra & Optus customers with support-devices: VOICE-mobile-calls are being transmitted across their 4G-network, migration-started.
3G shutdown: NON-supported-devices CAN'T call-out, or receive calls.
It seems that supported-devices must be both software & hardware compatible with Mobile-carrier-network.
Mobile-carriers can block specific-devices: reason…commercially-confident.
Note that I specifically did-NOT use the word VoLTE…more techno-jargon to confuse the public.

5G: n1/n3/n5/n7/n8/n20/n26/n28/n38/n40/n41/n77/n78G84 does support LTE band 28!!! I have the G84 and it does support VoLTE and VoWiFi on Optus and Vodafone. Vodafone is only 4G now and it can definitely make calls and receive calls when I am outdoors with no WIFI connectivity.
Moto-AU is known for up-to 50% OFF for clearing old-model-phones. Proof, see their OzBargain posts in the last 2 years: I bought 2 of the Moto-Edge-30-variants for others…& others have done the same via my-suggestions.
I'm an Optimist: G84 50% OFF is around the corner…IF enough buyers wait.
The only negative is that they tend-to have 3 years security-patch-support from released-date, & hence buyers will have only 2 years left.
But, buyers can search the net for prudent-practices once security-support end…whatever suit their-preference.
What's the diff 🤔
Next-level 5G performance v Superfast 5G performance
How does HODL apply to this situation? Hold off from buying?
