It has 14.4 inches 21:9 screen, great for watching movies. Dick Smith has better model U840W/001 for $1199(in special price $100 off) which get win8 and bluetooth V4( U840W/002 has win7 and bluetooth V3).

Screen res is only 1792 x 768 so its not full HD 21:9 which is 2560 x 1080
2560x1080 is useless when nothing uses that high resolution. 2.35:1 BluRays are still only 1920 wide, which would mean a resolution of about 1920x818.
Having said that, this laptop still isn't that though so you're right that it's not full HD.
Seems a bit pointless to me to have a laptop with a 21:9 screen. The only thing it's useful for is playing movies, for which you're paying about 10x the price of a BluRay player or 4x the price of a 10" tablet.

Not for me (I'm waiting for the 21:9 monitors) but I'm sure it'd be useful for those who are constantly working on multiple documents. And movies of course.
problem is that not all movies (especially these days) are being filmed in 2.35:1 anymore. If its filmed in 16:9, the black bars are going to make this 14.4 monitor 10.9

Maybe not for notebook. But this is ultrabook, so the price seems pretty good.
Toshiba itself states the RRP is AUD1499.
