      Not really. I believe Buffalo uses a WD HDD in their externals, which some people prefer over Seagate.

          I got the buffalo drivestation 3tb from the binglee deal for the same price a few months back. This drive / enclosure is loud. Anyone else experience similar?

      Oddly, I've also noticed this to be the case that external is deerer than internal since the floods. Surely ext. cost more to manufacture, but they are going cheaper? Prolly due to HDD companies main target market which are consumers (w/ no tech knowledge) who expect PnP functionality & setup. Internal more for DIY ppl.

    YHT196 is the model number on the catalogue however the picture is for YHT298B. I am confused as well. Well..we will see which one they are selling for tomorrow. Have a good evening
