Thanks, grabbed a couple of UVC-G5-BULLET for the new place

  • Do you guys happen to stock the Cloud Gateway Max?

  • +1

I put an order in for u7 pro but haven’t received any email confirmation

    • Different item but also no confirmation email from an order at 10pm. Get it together guys…

  • Deals marked expired but code still works for me for items in stock.

  • I also managed to get a U7 Pro a few minutes ago. I hope that this will be shipped within a reasonable time frame. I think that someone said 8 days from now but I wonder if that is for certain orders or all of them?

  • U7 pro is back in stock. As long as you aren't in a rush (see above)

    Subtotal $348.00
    Discount (AFPUBQ) -$66.12
Shipping (Free Shipping - Free) $0.00
    GST $25.63
    Order Total $281.88

Yes, but the code no longer works

      • It was working when I wrote that comment, they must have ended it since.

        Edit: Yeah not applying now.

    • That is not how it works with Wireless1, you'll be putting on a back order…good luck mate.

  • +1

The coupon code isn't valid. Verify the code and try again.

AFPUBQ doesn't seem to work for me

    • +2

      Yeah, getting same thing

    • +1

I just called them about this code not working. They said the sale has now expired despite the initial post stating that the sale ends on 18 Aug. Piss.

      • +2

Bah. I was just going through the checkout. Code was working 2 minutes earlier.

      • +3

Yeah just refreshed the page on OZB and they changed the expiry date from 18th Aug to 15 Aug 10:44am

        Negging for pulling a dodgy

      • yeah i went and look through the revisions - the 18 aug was added by a mod actually. it didnt have an expiry date in the post, hence my earlier question

  • +5

Can confirm code not working, 4 day expiry suddenly changed to 1 day :(

    • +2

The bait and switch is pretty dodgy…

    • +4

Yep, if they changed the expiry date of the code it seems pretty dodgy. If they put it back up i will change my negative vote for a positive.

      • +3

Agreed. Dodgy behaviour and their platform is still incapable of handling orders correctly. Sending a confirmation email is such a basic task yet they can't even manage that.

Plus I'm fairly sure I was looking at someone else's cart last night, had a heap of items I hadn't added or even looked at.

      • Same here - was about to order this afternoon.
        Crooks

  • +7

Can we rate sellers? Cos it seems like these guys have a bit of a reputation now

    • +4

      There's always Google reviews…..

      • But they can remove your Google review, by paying Google.

  • +3

Original expiry date was 18th Aug, and then with minutes to go, seller set the expiry to 10AM today.

Great discount, but moves like these paints the seller in a hugely negative light for me now.

  • +2

Being annoyed at this bait-and-switch-expiry might be the motivation I need to finally do something about a suspected data leak where a masked email I only ever used for ordering on Wireless1 (and my first time ordering form them) immediately started getting promotional email from a clothing store.

  • +2

Must have clearly underestimated the demand to drop the sale prematurely. The prices were very fair imho. The Gen 2 24 Poe Switch was already the cheapest price as per staticice and getting a 19% discount on top of that was what I finally needed to pull the trigger.

    • Yep, got the Gateway Ultra + Lite 8 POE Switch before I really need them - too good to pass up.

  • I'm waiting for an order confirmation myself. Put an order early hours today

  • +2

was planning on doing a bit more research today but apparently not since the party's over

  • +4

Can't believe they'd do this again after the last deal went so poorly. Had items in my cart and couldn't check out.

  • Can the OzB brains trust confirm if any of the below retailers share ownership with Wireless1?

    • CentreCom
    • Computers & Parts Land
    • PLE Computers
    • MWave
    • MSY
    • Scroptec

This deal expired with a Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Ultra in my cart, and since I'd talked myself into (almost) buying one for $162 or so that it would've been after 19% discount, I'm now going to go ahead and buy it at $189/$199 that this seems to be listed at. Just not from Wireless1.

    • From what i understand, most of these guys don't share links with each other, and are typically quite private.

ie Centrecom is owned by two guys, that started the business. They had ventures into other non tech businesses but didn't have as much success.

Only MSY with Umart, which a fairly well known acquisition.

That said the industry is fairly inbred, which staff frequently rotating amongst the lot, ie MSY to CC, CC to PCCG, PCCG to Scorptec etc.
with promotions typically, retail to product management then possibly to vendors and distributors.

This is for Melbourne at least, unsure about wireless1 specifically.

lmfao was looking at buying some cameras, guess not

have no idea why my internet keeps dropping out, it's either my Laptop, Dodo, or the Dodo modem. Wondering if there is an easy way to find out, maybe a cheap modem if anyone knows of any. The internet drops out a lot is the problem.

    • +1

Probs best talk to you ISP(Dodo), but first step is rule out dodgy wifi by hooking up laptop directly to the router then if confirm is ok, depending on the connection it is possible to connect your laptop directly to the external network and test for drop outs.

      • don' know what you mean by the second part "it is possible to connect your laptop directly to the external network and test for drop outs." ?

        • +1

yea, bring a techy friend over and buy them dinner

  • +3

    Dodgy as.
never had stock to begin with, now they've pulled the deal early.
    good luck getting your orders!

  • +1

Yeah, I ordered a U7 pro pretty early so will be interesting to see when they end up shipping. Not in a huge hurry but I'm not a big fan of dishonest behavior (taking orders when they don't actually have anything in Australia.)

  • +3

Wireless1, the out-of-stock specialist, claiming it's in stock but it's not, The last time I complaint to them, they said they've upgraded their system to improve this, which is basically a lied, this dodgy practice should be banned from OzB.

    • I'm starting to question their solvency. This is not how businesses should be run.

  • I thought that there may be a few more comments. It looks like nobody has received confirmation emails. I am wondering how late these items are going to be. Would anyone like to have a guess?

    • I got a full invoice and confirmation of the order etc
No word on it being sent as yet,

      • +1

I received order confirmation and tax invoice promptly as well. Upon follow up, I was told the stock (UCGU and U7Pro) is available at their partner warehouse and would be sent either this week or next.

        • Received the shipping notification and tracking number today. I should get it early next week. Nice.

        • Delivered today

  • +1

What the heck? I had a basket of stuff and was waiting til tonight to order and now the promo is over?! It said the 18th before……………

  • +1

still waiting for my order from the last sale. deceptively states that items are in stock when they aren't. give fake ETAs. really P*ssed off, ozb shouldn't stand for this conduct.

  • for those who have ordered, Anyone receive any delivery update/tracking ?

    • Yeah ordered u7 pro on backorder at 9.30pm same day as sale announced. Had no issues with invoice, just received email with tracking number ( shows as pending on auspost website)

      • Received invoice, but no confirmation on shipping yet. Ordered a UDM-SE and a couple of G5 cameras.

        • Has your UDM-SE been shipped yet? Also ordered an SE and still no word/pending. Just sent an email asking for an ETA though so we'll see.

          • +1

@ReaperX22: I received a tracking number this afternoon, but it hasn't been collected by Australia Post yet.

            • @muga: Thanks! Give me some hope at least!

              • @ReaperX22: Arrived today, fingers crossed for you

                • @muga: Thanks

Just got an email stating shipped! Woo

  • Did anyone get their 5% partial refund that they offered? I emailed but got a standard apology…

  • +1

Anyone received anything yet? Almost a week later and I've heard nothing from them

    • +1

I followed them up on Tuesday with an email, they got back to me pretty quickly but let me know my order was in their partner warehouse, not sure how much time that may add to my order but I'll give it a few more days and see.

    • I only ordered one item and it was in stock when I ordered. Delivered last wednesday and installed on the weekend
