Different event, most likely the same products on sale.
Big Deal !!!
Daze
Can't wait to be disappointed!
I won’t be disappointed because I expect nothing good to be on sale…
IME there is no lower bound on disappointment.
can't wait to see such a wide variety of items on sale only to have so little of them actually ship to my address.
Does Amazon refuse to deliver to an Auspost parcel collect address?
They have their own parcel lockers or collection points so do not use auspost collections
Amazon used to ship to parcel lockers, has this changed? I know it only worked for some items.
Weird thing is Amazon often refused to ship to their own lockers..
They still do ship to Aust Post Parcel Lockers (and also option of their own Lockers, or Delivery Points as Chemist's, Newsagents & other small businesses that are agents to receive parcels) - but for certain goods they seem to only offer a home address for delivery - (don't know why they insist on that) which I don't like so much as I am usually at work (I am in the Suburbs of Sydney) I imagine it may be frustrating if one is in a country area, and they have restrictions - They should offer options, it is strange how they segregate delivery locations !
Sorry about mistaking saying that they don’t deliver to parcel lockers, they do.
Thanks tightarse
I’m going to wait for the Prime Big Arse Deal Days
Thanks TA
Hoping to see Anker x600 at $129 or better again. And maybe a deal on royal kludge s98 keyboard
Was wondering why you were negged…… until I found out what a Anker x600 was…. Maybe they imagine encountering you on public transport with it ;P
Discuss some trash “sale” that doesn’t start for almost a month. Please.
Amazon are promoting it pretty heavily on their app.
Breville Barista Express… been holding out for a sub-$500 one!
Same, wanted the infuser but might have to settle for a bambino plus.
Only good thing about last Prime 'day' was some cheap records
I bought a cat jail. Cat hates it. I love it.
Big fight, big fight, tonight, big fight..
You know you know.
Another one? How many this year has it been?
However many it takes
They'll keep doing them until someone buys something…
I wish every day was Prime Day and everything cheap all the time.
Buy from Aliexpress and it is. Forget about same day delivery though.
Amazon same day or overnight delivery often takes about 5 days, despite coming from two suburbs away. Amazon Prime membership is nowhere near as useful as One Pass is for me.
@peteru: never had an issue with overnight delivery, sometimes get it late like 8pm but always get it.
here we go for another FLOP
deal price on Soundcore A20 Sleep buds please.🙏
HDD at $25/tb?
.The price of a whole bunch of stuff in my basket/watch list just got jacked up to RRP, are they preparing so it looks like they have offering bigger discounts during this prime event?
I'm ready
You get anything yet?
Only disappointed
That’s albos amazon for ya…
@mapax: And bigly
Yeah everything I have on watch list is 100% constantly on sale, now with a new sale label, no change in actual price…
Examples
INIU Power Bank: 95% of the time is $55.99 now $55.99 https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0CB1DTFT6
Reolink Camera System: 95% of the time is ~$1200 now $1899.99 (so $10 saving now?) https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0876277PB/
Pepsi Max: 50% of the time is ~$25 now $24.95As far as I see, nothing (that I have looked for) is actually on sale.
If you've got proof, send it to the ACCC.
If enough people report on it, they'll investigate.
worst prime day ever so far
I mean, it isn't even Prime Day. It a precursor to it.
still, website says 'Prime Big Deals Days starts now'
nothing started yet..
I see some good deals. Bonsoy Soy Milk sub $3, La Roche-Posay Sunscreen ~$20.
@Lucille Bluth: Enjoy :D
ACCC need to smack Amazon AU with a massive fine for their fake ‘prime day’ discounts.
Blatant increases of price right before then ‘prime day’ deals that are worse than historical sales!
They've probably employed Jack DaPrice from eBay.
I thought it was Jack DePrice…
Bambu P1S AMS was 20% off $1719 for $1375 with a code a few days ago… Now is $1360 for "prime only" deal smh. What a massive saving :/
Just scanned through and nothing promising. Nothing surprising.
Amazon Prime, Black Friday, Boxing Day used to be such a big deals, you could buy insane goods with very nice promotions with hundreds off.
Now???
There is nothing worth, prices are increased and then "ta-da promotion", just like what Woolworth and Coles have being doing.and many people who live on the fringes of the metro area or even in large regional centres can often no longer receive items that they have always bought
for many, amazon is not nearly as good as it used to be
amazon is not nearly as good as it used to be
I live within the metro area and Amazon sucks now.
Amazon has become an AliExpress alternative, things are all "Made in China" with terrible quality.
I only buy at Amazon things like 4K UHD bluray deals, small techs from brands I know and won't find cheaper elsewhere, house stuff way cheaper than the supermarkets.Other than above, I have ditched Amazon AU to buy from local stores instead.
You wouldn't believe how many local stores with good stuff and fair price is out there.I remember trying to buy bluray covers from both Amazon and eBay costing a kidney, then I found an Aussie company only selling this stuff, cheaper and great quality.
So anyway, that is my take now:- Amazon AU: 4K bluray deals, known brand goods, house cleaning/general stuff cheaper than supermarket over 50%
- Amazon US: We do not get some tech here if not via US, my Philips Open-Ear Bone Conduction USB-C over the crappy Shokz proprietary connection could only be purchase via the US.
- eBay: Only to buy IT stuff like second hand desktops, parts that would cost 4x times anywhere else, AU based sellers only.
You save a lot of money when you start ditching these companies.
Price increases today for items I've been watching:
- Breville the Toast and Melt 4-Slice Sandwich Press: $118 to $129
- Otrivin Baby & Kids Natural Nasal Spray: $6.99 to to $8.95
- OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner: $49 to $51
Another Amazon sale bloated with cheap junk no one wants plus a dozen or so useful items?
Yep.
eBayzon
Yep, waiting for Fire Stick to be going on sale which it did during the previous Prime Day in July but nothing happened … spewing
They did dirty on Meta Quest 3 pricing for Prime Day. Prices have gone up significantly and showing 'discounted' (they're not) 128GB (now discontinued) is disguised as the 512GB "deal"
Best to buy direct from Meta and keep the 512GB @ $799 deal. The Prime Day, the Big Deal Days all seems to be days where you buy the staples at close to RRP but with cashreward offers…..
I can't see Amazon lasting I'm Australia if they keep up these shenanigans.
I dunno, there seem to be plenty of people that have bent the knee to the corporations and now think that mediocre “bargains” are good…
I don't get it. They give you 5 days of no real new bargains, and like $2 off RRP of a handful of items?
Outside of some movies, this has been the worst sale ever.
I just want a Firestick 4k so am surprised Amazons own hardware isnt currently reduced :(
Waited to buy a new Kindle for the misso, and they don't even sell those to people outside metro any more.
What the hell happened to Amazon?
What a load of bullshit this Amazon promotion is.
I just checked some outdoor gear that I'd been thinking of… noticed it had a "Prime Deal" discount of 15% applied to it, bringing the total price to about 10% more than what it was a week ago without the deal.
Different to Prime Day? this is Big Deal Days……
