Pretty good deal for a decent beginners set.
I last bought golf clubs 15 years ago and am stunned at the price of new sticks now.The stores never have this price…
I think this set is a Costco exclusive.
I mean the Costco stores. Its always an online only thing
Had these for 2 years now.. They are good for a hack like me. The putter has the fat grip as well which is pretty good. I dented the driver easily. The covers are not bad either. Rick Sheilds does a good review on youtube for these. I think I paid $799 at the time for the set. The only thing I don't like is the hybird 4.. I bought a carbon 4 iron seperate. Still good price.
I've had mine for a similar amount of time. Great sticks! Completely disagree about the hybrid 5 though. Best club in the bag when you get used to it. Very forgiving, and hits a mile.
Same experience here with the driver, Tee'd up too high, got under it and left it was a good little dent on the top which I felt happened way too easily, but still a decent club. But would have to disagree aswell about the Hybrid, I use that in replacement of my driver sometimes because my driving game is a gamble and that club is just way too consistent
This exact thing happened to me. It cracked the top edge of the driver. I managed to get a replacement set under warranty for it.
I kept skyballing the crap out of the driver and completely cracked the crown. For a beginner set they really should have reinforced the crown so it could hold up to more abuse.
The 5 hybrid in this set is an absolute weapon and the best club in the set
So these will bring my game down to the 100s?
Lessons will help more than new clubs. However if you want a set, these are very forgiving and easy to hit
I've been playing for over 20 years and no, it won't make you play better … lol..
Just my two cents for anyone curious about this set. I only play 1-2 times a month now, but I grew up playing a few times a month and recently upgraded from an old, hand-me-down LH blade set to these. Honestly, I can’t find anything wrong with them, especially for the price. If you’re getting serious, though, I’d recommend picking up a gap wedge because the irons are a bit stronger than I expected. My lowest loft in this set was hitting the same distance as my old 9-iron. At first, I thought it was just me, but after playing with different people, I’ve noticed I usually have to club up or two compared to others with similar handicaps (e.g. they use an 8 iron, I’m using a PW and I'm getting the same distance).
The irons are super forgiving, and the ball feels soft off the face. With how little I play, I didn’t see the point in spending more money, but these improved my game from a 15 to an 8 handicap pretty quickly. Honestly, no complaints here.
Oh, and side note, the putter is fantastic. I’ve seen those alone go for $200+, so I’m not even sure how they’re making any money on this set, and I know this is starting to sound like a paid review now, but being a lefty, I couldn't find anything on the second hand market that wouldn't break the bank and there's not much love out there for discounted Lefty clubs sadly so took the punt on these and would swear by them for anyone new.
What distance are you getting from your PW? It's 44deg, which is a pretty standard PW loft these days. If others are having to use an 8 to go the same distance, that probably says more about their inability, or you have more strength than you realise
It’s probably a mix of the clubs and actually getting confident with the clubs as my old ones were super unforgiving blades, so the consistency was way off, but these clubs are so consistent for me that I now average about 130 meters on the PW, but previous set my PW would get around 105 on the good swings
Excellent set of clubs at this price.
I am looking to get into golf, all I've ever done is had a few hits at the driving range and only ever played one round of golf. But had a good time, thinking it could be a new hobby for me but there is a chance I could lose interest haha. Would this be good for me to get, or would the Wilson set which is a bit cheaper and come with a bag be better? Tried looking second hand but tbh have no clue what I should be looking for.
F
same. Keen to get into it but need a new set of keen friends also hahahaha. How do you make golf friends?I was in the same position a couple years back. It was 50/50 that the clubs would collect dust or I would go crazy. I now play weekly and still use this set
I went in store to buy this (WA) and the advertised price was actually $599.97! Thought it must have been an incorrect sticker but checked out with the same price!
P.S. just noticed, it does say on website “Item may be available in your local warehouse, prices may vary”, didn’t think it would work in favour of a lower price!
97cents means it is clearance
So I've got a few hundred $ of gift cards for Drummond golf that I've been saving to get a set of clubs, I don't really see anything close to equivalent in thier site though.
Would you guys recommend I just get these and save the gift cards for some balls or something else?why is there never stiff flex. regular flex is way to whippy for my swing speed
if u swing faster enough at more than 100mph swing speed and can hit the middle of the club face,
these clubs are not for youI can swing over 100mph but cant hit the middle of the club face
Out of stock already?
honestly if you are just starting out and u don't know if this game is for you just go cheapest like wilson, even decalthon clubs will be fine. if u keep slicing it. anything will do.
once u get the hang of things go buy used on FB marketplace.. and if u get lessons even better..
If you plan to buy new please GET FITTED.
play well bois
