Hi Guys,

I stumbled on this good deal on the Dick Smith web site. They are selling the full version of Norton 360 + 12 months support for $49. It's a 3 user license and that alone gets sold on the site for $129.

Here's the link to the page:http://dicksmith.com.au/product/CD0SC12/dick-smith-care-12-months-with-norton-360-online-only

    lol, Norton

Paid antivirus or internet security are a waste of money. The free alternatives(avast, mse, avira) do just as good of a job, if not better.

Working as a PC tech I concur. Norton has been the source of many problems I have encountered. Even though I dont like MS much I always recommend MS Security Essentials to people

      • Recommending Microsoft for anti virus/malware etc is like going to a brothel without a condom..

Microsoft Security Essentials Loses AV Certification
Independent German AV-Test firm pulls seal of approval for Microsoft's free antivirus software, saying it detected only 64% of zero-day threats on Windows 7.

    • +1 Microsoft (who make windows) provide a better solution for free.
If you want to pay money for something else then that is your business.
So NO this is not a bargain when you don't need to spend money.
Microsoft wrote windows operating system and I believe that they would know better how to protect it.

You've left out the best part. Norton are running a $40 rebate on Norton 360 (and other products) 3 computer licence purchases until Jan 3 2013 so that will reduce the out of pocket on the DSE offer to just $9!!

    Go to http://au.norton.com/now/en/AU_SITE/pu/images/Promotions/201…

    for money back offer details….

Does the downloadable 360 qualify for the cash back?

      • +3

Cashback is only on retail pack. Ring/email to confirm.

hm not as good as the norton internet security where i got paid for getting it :)

Norton Internet Security will likely give you big problems like blocking emails you want to be receiving(and not putting in the spam folder either) and doing all sorts stupid connectivity crackdowns for internet access. I got rid of it on my boss's pc and since he loves Norton put on 360 which is a bit better.

But I am not a fan of Norton, it'll even block stuff like homegroup access and do various blockages that have no security justifications.

This is my personal opinion and may not be the opinion of God and Angel Hordes of Heaven!

      • Could be true, I dont use any e-mail clients like outlook or whatever anyway. Most average users don't. So i've disabled that. Also, Homegroup access is fine.

  • Person with a limited knowledge of computers Norton is good. But I wouldn't recommend for anyone as there are better options available.

  • Prefer 180 day nod32 code for $1.18 dhgate or cheaper on taobao.
Works out $7.08 for 3 user for a year.
    Far greater product

Can it be confirmed that this is the 3 user version - couldn't find any mention in the link. The overall 'Care' package seems to imply one computer.

    • We can confirm that this is the 3 user version of Norton.

lol i got paid by Symantec to get norton 360 but not happy and swich to MSE

    • +1

      I did the same
I lasted less than 3 or 4 hours on Norton, and switched back to MSE !!

      • and I used to be such a welded-on Norton supporter back in the day

      • You did not say why?
