Jamo SUB 210 Subwoofer AUD$282.65 Shipped from Amazon.co.uk

20

Just bought the Yamaha HTR-6056 and Jamo S426 speakers. And found this subwoofer on Amazon to go with them. But it's temporarily out of stock. Hope they can re-stock before x'mas.

To buy, make sure you choose the seller as "Amazon LLC" but not other USA sellers who won't ship internationally.

Edit: from amazon.co.uk, AUD282.65 shipped, link:

So no stock why you post here?

    • Amazon will inform you once they re-stock the item when it's in your cart. My experience is that they were out of stock last Wednesday and I bought one in the weekend.

  • Man I could be wrong, but wouldn't this sub require a 110v 60htz connection as opposed to our 230v 50hz? Basically, I don't think this sub will work on our mains.

    • Check out page 3 of the Owner/User Manual at http://www.jamo.com/speaker-lines/subwoofers/?sku=SUB210

      It shows "220V-240V~50/60Hz 0.5A"

Oh you mean on that diagram that says 220-240v ignore that because they wouldn't sell an electronic product in the US that's rated for 220-240v power with no 110v. Just think about it for a second that's the user manual for the european version which isn't sold in the US. It would be 110v AC for sure for the US version of it from Amazon US. It won't work on the Australia power grid. Plug the US model into the 230V power grid and it go booooom alright. You just got fooled by a 230v european model diagram.

        • Would Amazon UK/Europe ship subs to oz? that way voltage should not be a problem right? only the plug might be different if it's not a C8 or clover leaf connection. TIA

        • Just checked from amazon.co.uk, the jamo 210 costs GBP134.28 and shipping is GBP43.57 for a total of GBP177.85 or AUD282.65 (@ Amazon exchange rate).

Edit: only 2 in stock at ADST 15:05 10/12/2012.

    • edit: beaten haha

    • I believe being a US model it would be 110v AC so it wouldn't work on 230v mains power.

  • Yes, it would be 110v AC.

  • Hope people have budgeted for a 230v to 110v step down transformer because you're going to need one.

  • Where can you get an awesome sub in OZ without paying over $299? Quite difficult.

  • I noticed the OP was hoping they'd be back in stock for christmas. I reckon even if they got stock in 1 minute from now and you ordered, you are not going to get this arriving before christmas if you want it for a gift. Correct me if I'm wrong but they take around 2 weeks normally from the UK and during christmas is probably longer than that.

  • The sub is on amazon UK wouldn't that mean that it's the 240v version? Or does amazon uk sell the US voltage stuff to? I'm confused

  • Anyone receive one of these and confirmed the 110volt (and lack of switching), hence need for step-down transformers? I ordered one but it hasn't arrived as yet.
