  • Not as good as JB ?

    • +2

Nope, far away from JB deal. I got P9P 256gb all up for $573.59

      • How

      • Interesting, would like to know how

        • +6

          $1700 off P9P for $99/month JB plan
The 256gb version is $1847, so paid $147 different.
          Canceled JB Plan for $776.59
Got the $99 refunded so $0.
Got the $350 gift card come with P9P (extremely hard to get it now), sold it for $350.
          So in the end, $147 + 776.59 - 350 = $573.59

@jasonnguyenaus: Note that the $350 gc wasn't meant to be given, and the $99 from Telstra is also good will gesture. While you did geta good deal, strickly speaking it wasn't as writen.

          • @jasonnguyenaus: This is the absolute BCS.

            • +1

@G-rig: Nope not yet, best case will be another -$184.7 claim for TRS if travelling overseas soon, bring it down to $388.89.
I already had the receipt ready with name on it, but no overseas plan yet 🤣

              • @jasonnguyenaus: Nice you got it, best case scenario hehe.
I would almost get a 9 pro as well as a spare before deal up and travel within 60d, wouldn't owe you much then. The s24u pretty big to pocket but ok I guess.

Sent the P8 128GB to Reebelo (Monster mobile) this week, should be accepted so that's $480. Better than JB trade price, not that you can even use those vouchers anymore when the 1700 off is much better.

Also bit hard to lodge 28d price protection when only paying $147 out of pocket, and used GC for that.

              • @jasonnguyenaus: Trs claim is $167.91 and not $184.7

          • @jasonnguyenaus: How did you get refund, if you don't mind?

  • anyone experience mobile service and coverage with Good Guys Mobile provider?

The Good Guys mobile plans are on the Telstra retail network, so you should expect to have full Telstra coverage

    $1697 - $650 + $59 = $1106

I can see that they have a $79/month plan (24 months) with $550 gift card and $1448 off Pixel 9 Pro 128gb which might be a better deal for some that need that amount of data

    • +1

Prettu sure that $550 GC and $1448 off doesnt stack, its one or the other

      • It will as it is the same as JBs $350 GC. With TGG, you need to pay $199 because only $1448 will be applied on the P9P

        • So on $79 better deal with The Good Guys?

          • @techgeek69: Can I use JB gift cards towards purchase of mobile on the spot?

          • @techgeek69: I think JB deal is better as you don’t need to pay $199

            • @AirJordan23: Just went to a GG's store and its either the option of $1448 off or a $550. Hardly great when have to pay $199 upfront.

    • Yes, $1448 off Pixel 9 Pro 128gb is a much better deal, you cancel the plan you’ll only pay a $523 voucher repayment fee if you can get $79 refund. But this is the best with a $350 gift card.

      • They've stopped the $350 gift cards, pretty much every JB staff knows not to give it now so can't really factor that in

    • Yeah doesnt stack, their website sorta fails to mention that clearly.

  • JB deal better, as long as you cancel the Telstra plan.
OW deal still better too if trading in.

    • Can you share more? Was this another thread?

      • Just go to Officeworks site, think they ordered 400$ bonus for trading in, and a gift voucher. Not exactly the best deal but have a look.

  • Thanks for the info guys

  • No mention of the 256GB 9 pro on the Good Guys website. Wonder when they'll be stocking it and if you'd be able to upgrade these deals from the 128gb to the 256gb

  • Can someone confirm what to be paid back if we cancel the $79 plan ?
